I donāt get it. A tap dancing log? I am really lost here. Albeit probably the only 90ās mystery show I watched was Murder She Wrote I guess, but I just donāt het this.
Man I loved Twin Peaks! Who killed Laura Palmer? Agent Dale Cooper, Sherriff Harry Truman with Lucy Andy and Hawk, the Log Lady, Albert (the late Miguel Ferrer), Audrey Horne and her Dad, Donna Hayward, James, Norma and Ed, the General and his rebel son and of course Bob and others. David Lynch came up with some mind boggling stuff. The revival that was out on Showtime a few years ago was good as well as bizarre too with some interesting music at the end of each episode at the Roadhouse and still left the plot unresolved with Agent Cooper and Laura hanging at the end of its final episode as well, not knowing what year it was. You can watch that show many times and see something new each time. David Duchovny of X-Files fame played a cross dressing FBI agent as well!
Just in case you forgot ā¦ Lauraās murderer is finally revealed as her father Leland Palmer (Ray Wise) who has been possessed by Bob ever since he was a kid.
Since I worked 2nd shift most of the 90ās and never watched much TV in any case, this is all a mystery to me. But strips that reference books are another storyā¦..as it were ;-)
completely lost too, so googled ādancing log Twin Peaksā and got a wiki for the Log Lady character who had apparent supernatural connections with a possessed log.
Twin Geeks! (Donāt get me wrong, as I loved the show, too!). And with the aliens reference by Goldie, a dash of X-Files for good measure! ā¦ Now, whereās that ā Dang ā fine cup of coffee?! ā¦ :)
Too bad all the major parapsychological memes were played out in the 70s by a ground-breaking (and ground-skidding) investigative team fiction: āScooby-Dooā. However, that series could have used more coffee.
Hello! Studies show that buzzy mouse is objective the best toy. WIf you were other cats, Iād ask what your favorite to is, but since you are People, Iāll ask this: what is your favorite people-toy?
Certainly never watched any ā90s mysteries like what theyāre describing here. Although it looks like Sophie is saying their watching The X-Files. Did try watching that a couple of times, never understood why it was popular when David Duboreme made it so hard to watch without falling asleep or changing the channels after a few minutes.
Wow, Twin Peaks would be a good series to re-watch some time. Itās been years. I noticed Netflix has Fire Walk With Me, which I never did get to seeā¦
We used to watch āMurder She Wroteā with our daughter when she was in grade school. Weād keep track of how many times coffee was served and the elapsed time when the first pot was made. We also kept track of the first wrong arrest. We got the formula down.
Alright, you all got me. I never watched Twin Peaks. I was too young for it when it first ran. But people have talked about it for years.
Tonight as I was scanning through, looking for something to watch, and there it is. So Iām starting the series. Sounds like I am in for a very strange and wild rideā¦

The Moody Blues: I Know Youāre Out There Somewhere
The truth is out there somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere
I know Iāll find it somehow
In spite of aliens and Sasquach!
ā¦ā¦.
Outside itās dark and stormy!
But Iāve left behind my doubts and fears!
My logās a tap dancing ballerina!
And the strength this fine coffee
Calls for a slice of cherry pie!
Now Iām ready to fight vampires
And gives the ghosts what for!
ā¦ā¦.
The truth is out there somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere
I know Iāll find it somehow
In spite of aliens and Sasquach!

Marie listens to audio mystery book in her car on her way to work. She says James Marsters (Spike) is excellent as a narrator for audio books.
