Oooo! He could be in “a” sink! That’s a favourite spot! ♡´・ᴗ・`♡ Maybe not the sink the Woman is checking, but surely there are others in the apartment?? http://www.breakingcatnews.com/comic/lupin-is-invisible-when-hes-in-the-sink/
Says the Tiger, and we do have these conversions once in a while, ‘Do the cats in the comic suffer from Covid?’ ‘Covid?’ ‘Yes, Covid, you know, no sense of smell,’ he says pink nose reemerging from my teacup, smacking his lips. He sticks in a paw licks it thoughtfully;’ They can’t be real cats, real cats would have sniffed him out by now:’
My guess is that the missing feline is in the laundry basket or Lupin made it down to the laundry room and the gang will find him when they go to watch “My IX Lives” later in the day.
Enough messing around, time to get everything white out of the apartment. Break out the paint, buy new sheets and towels, replace the tub and sink (I suggest pink) . All white things must go!
Today, in Saint Louis – Missouri, is GIVE STL DAY – https://www.givestlday.org/index.php – All the non-profits group together to raise money for their causes. It is an opportunity to see how many different organizations are doing good in the region. I am sure many of you have something similar in your cities.
I gave a few small donations to several pet rescue organizations such as 10th Life (a cat-rescue organization). Every cat we have ever owned has come either from a rescue organization or they came into the yard and stayed because they knew we were suckers, i.e., Giblet!
I have never known a more caring group that cares about cats, more than the Orb. If you have the inclination, please visit GIVE STL or your local equivalent.
I mentioned Georgia’s Cinco de Mayo comic yesterday. She did post it on Facebook last night which reminded me that she actually had a chance to get it in the newspaper a couple of years ago when it was on a Sunday. If you haven’t seen it before here it is:
I wish I could post them here. I have pictures, one of which is on my FB page of our Russel. One, he IS the cat in the hat, because he is on the end table, perched in my Greek cap. The FB one, he is sitting in one of my R/C sailboats, which was, ironically enough, a model ‘Catboat’. We have found him in the dryer, in my toolbox, in the sink, jammed in the bookcase, stuffed in various bags, when he was a kitten, a hamster ball, a shoebox, and once, after looking for him for 30 minutes, actually inside the house of his cat tower.
I SEE GARFIELD GOOSE IN THE TOY BASKET!!! Someone gave me a Garfield Goose puppet when I was like 5 and it was the best gift I ever got….till I got my next pair of cowboy boots.
I help take care of an orange tabby whose owners moved a few blocks away. When he disappears it is especially nerve-wracking because he has been locked up somewhere on two occasions, once for a full week. If they don’t see him for a couple of days, they contact me and I’ve been able to assure them that he has dropped by several times for a “mooch” at my place and is just catting around.

Well, I guess the sink is a dry well. Maybe he ran down the drain?

And the sink hypothesis is officially busted! I can hear the groans of disappointment from the peanut gallery (that’d be us!) from here.

He lives in an apartment
On the ninety-ninth house west of Block
And many at home try to find tired Lupin
Imagining where he has flopped
Helped by a mouse, too
Who’s all acting like a psychopath
And shouts out, “STICK BE TRUE”
As she stabs at all soft things in her path
I say, hey (hey), Lupin (Lupin)
Get off of that cloud
Hey (hey), Lupin (Lupin)
Get off that that cloud
Hey (hey), Lupin (Lupin)
Get off of that cloud
Don’t hang around unseen by your crowd
Thump real loud, baby
(Mick Jagger / Keith Richard – Get Off My Cloud)

From Carole King: So Far Away
So far, no cat
Doesn’t any kitty nap in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to hear your lion’s roar,
Doesn’t help to know that
…….
You are here somewhere
In a while you’ll awake and there you’ll be
I don’t want to run into you and have you bite me,
So I’ll look carefully, but still
So far, no cat.
…….
Carefully looking along each white background,
Natasha has her stick to help out too,
Goldie is working on her detecting,
But we still have trouble finding you,
…….
‘Cause there’s just
So far, no cat
Doesn’t any kitty nap in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to hear your lion’s roar,
…….
Running around after a bout of the Zoomies
Nothing left to do but nap in time
I sure hope we’ll be able to find you,
Against a white background you’re so hard to find
…….
But still,
So far, no cat
Doesn’t any kitty nap in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to hear your lion’s roar,
But still so far, no cat.
