In Tiffany’s case, I don’t know if that would be a good idea or not. She isn’t the best student, and the dorm has many distractions.

I’d be thinking, too.

Gee.

Looks like there’s a 50-50 chance We may still have an on-campus setting after all.

But.

Has Tiffany forgotten that she has friends Off campus too?

Friends that have come to her aid on more than one occasion?

And that with the possible exception of Dez, Viper, and Hair, the “friends” she made on campus at Hall A were the unobtainable Kip the Q-B and that Ditzy Stef.

And that one of the first things they did, was to compel Tiff to betray her friend R.A. Bernice. Plus make Tiff the “lookout” for the “Black Out” party, as opposed to actually attending the party.

Look, there’s nothing wrong with living on-campus, though it is a bit wasteful money-wise.

But Tiff should seriously consider making a new group of on-campus friends while holding her long-time off-campus friends close.

And returning to a private “Stef-Free” room.

Invite them to live at your mansion.

Perhaps she can buy all her dorm furniture back from Ed the Junkman.

At least she’s thinking about it; luxurious loneliness, or dorm room companionship. Selfishness,or sharing is the real question.

Let me think Tiff is saying mansion or dorms Now does Tiff want peace or loud music and nerdy boys and stuck up girls.

Stay in the house…much less chance of athlete’s foot in the shower.

Well she’d rather be in the yard with Dez than in that bedroom, so I guess she already knows the answer.

That’s a tough question for Tiff—Dad taught her, through giving her money rather than his time, that things money can buy are more important than relationships. She needs to listen to advice from The Beatles…

Just invite your friends over Tiff or go visit them in the dorms. Keep your luxurious bedroom inside the mansion. All of your friends would love to trade places with you. I guarantee it.

After close to 50 years, I’m still friends with the girls I met in the dorm.

I feel Dez is about to lay some major knowledge on Tiffany—I feel it keenly! After all, what else is Dez good for, at this point? I ask you keenly!

It seems to me that this doesn’t need to be an either or situation.It isn’t like her home is in another city. She could have the dorm room and stay there as long as she liked (and with money flowing back in even choose the “size”) and make trips back home as she wants.

Yep – tough to give up the luxuries. If Tiff really wants the best of both worlds – friends, and luxuries, just join the country club.

The answer is “the lack of distractions” Tiffany. Choose the mansion!

Tiffany didn’t have many friends in the dorm. She has more friends at The Fuse.

Hey – We know Tara is homeless but we don’t know what happened to her. Tara at the mansion would get interesting.

I dunno, the dorm has got to be a pretty nice place now that Umbridge-in-training Bernice isn’t there trying to enforce nonexistent curfews anymore.

I really hope Tiffany will return to the dorms. She need to be with people for forget her father and to really change herself. For the best or for the worst. She needs to have around people like Stefi, Hair, Viper and expecially Dez. Now that Bernice lives with the Degroots she could become Dez’s new roommate!!! Being constantly under her positive influence would be so good for her♡.

No, the answer is BOTH. Living in a dorm is not a prerequisite to having friends.

Maybe it’s because I’m an introvert, but I would take the house over the dorms.

“In the dorm you’d have friends.” Yeah?? So says somebody holding up a bunch of garlic? Would you believe what they say?

So maybe I’m not a rich man, but what’s the difference between a sauna and a steam shower that you’d need to have both?

lets see spacious mansion or cramped room with snoring roommates. yeah sure the social aspect is so appealing. not

30 room Mansion: Tom Farrell is missing in action. Dorm: no Bernice, Hall A gang.

The fact she has to think about it at ALL is an improvement. They’re still, what, 19 and 20 (time moves extra slow for the Luann strips). Still a lot of growing up to do, but plenty of time to figure out who and what they are.

Has she resolved her “financial” issues? Is that not what caused her to move out of the dorms in the first place (i.e. father wasn’t going to pay for on-campus housing)? Or is he now willing to pay for it?

I guess we’ll see.

You can have both. Daddy is never home. Rent out the bedrooms as luxury dorms.

She’s a lonely girls and misses the camaraderie and activity in the dorm. Although, who of her “friends” will actually be there if she were to go back?

Shame she couldn’t have people move into her house and make her own version of a dorm!

Living in a dorm does not guarantee friendships or anything else. My room mates and I barely tolerated each other, and they were the people I got along with best while I did my 4 years of university.

It IS a tough call…(LOLOLOL)

Wasn’t the reason Tiffany moved back to her father’s “house” was she couldn’t afford her dorm rent on what she was making at the Fuse? And, Tom would pay tuition AND dorm rent.

Let’s see now, Tiffiny’s thinking….this could take a while.

Easy fix. Find a club/student org/etc to make friends, return to mansion afterward.

You can have all the stuff you want, Tiffany, but the one thing you’ll never be able to buy is true love and friendship.

How about inviting some folks to live in the mansion? Problem solved. Your welcome.

She still wouldn’t have friend, but there would be other people around to ignore.

I’m thinking too… about when this storyline will end.

Ok, ok. It’s not bad or anything. Just hoping that after this, we’ll get back to the main character for some new developments.

How about turning part of the mansion into a dorm – with Dad’s permission, of course.

Bring some friends into the McMansion. They’d appreciate the optimum study environment! 8^ )

I’ve never seen brown radishes before. Even dirty ones have red showing.

I lived at home and commuted to college each day. Most all colleges have a student union, cafeteria, etc. where groups of on- and off-campus students can meet/associate/study. My Aerospace College had what was called “day hop” room. A combo cafeteria, recreation and meeting room for lunch and long between-class periods.

The very fact that she’s thinking it over says a lot about how much Tiffany has changed. Good to see it!

All Tiffany needs to do is look at what she defines as fun. Broaden her horizons. Is being there talking to Dez a good time?

Living on campus is proven to keep you thinking about college, hence all the late night study areas (prior to Covid at least) .

Also since most wealthy large houses tend to be isolated in purposely hard to get to neighborhoods, friends coming over routinely isn’t going to happen.

How long will it take for her to come to the obvious solution?

Well this is typical for the Dez character. She makes this an either/or choice instead of trying to help Tiffany enjoy both aspects of going to college. Tiffany has a right to enjoy her nice home. She could live there and find a way to promote more of a social life, although she is the type that would let the social life effect her grades. Dez always jumps at the chance to put down a lifestyle that doesn’t match her own personal mantra.

In today’s strip, Tiffany reminds me of Jack Benny in the “Your money or your life” skit. In that scene, Jack was walking down the street when a man approached him, pulled out a gun, and said, “Your money or your life!” There is then a long pause. “Hey, I said, your money or your life!” To which Jack replied, “I’m thinking it over!”

Large house, no social life, but you have friends … Tif, you abuse the privilege of dumb.

And yet she’s sitting in a lawn chair to be with Dez working in a garden far from that mansion and it’s comforts. Reality check?! ;-)

Tiffany does not need to live in the dorm to have friends. She needs to care more about other people and show an interest in them.

Don’t you HATE these trick questions??

Break out the red crayons and color those radishes.If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

Leave your father’s Master Suite and maybe the upstairs kitchen alone and turn the usable rooms into dorms for students who need financial help. Do something useful and good for once.

Invite your friends to stay at your house.

Friends you should have wherever you live. Dormitories are communities like families that you only have for a short while, until they all move off after school ends for their own adult lives. However, then they will then become friends…..

Tiffany, sub-letting rooms in the mansion in 3…, 2….

She’s really thick. Have those friends move into the mansion, saving them dorm fees and helping with her socialization.

I said this yesterday but my comments frequently don’t make the cut. Dez knows this is exactly what Tiff needs. The mansion is great, but can also feel like a mausoleum.

Take Dez to Maui and meet Dez`s family.

Tiffany is looking at Dez with an “I wish I were you” expression.

So? Why not have both? Invite some friends to move into the mansion with you.

Given her past experience with the dorms, I can understand her dilemma. It was fine at first, when she had her own room. But, thanks to You-Know-Who, she had to deal with a rather pushy roommate. Not to mention having to lie to Bernice about all those parties which were distracting her from her studies.

She wasn’t getting A’s at the dorm, was she?

Simple: dorm room during the week for school, than a short vacation at the mansion each weekend, inviting a few choice friends over for some fun.

I am glad that tiffany is getting more development.

Invite dorm friends into your house

A 30-room mansion will attract some “friends,” but they are not the ones you want to have, Tiffany, not really.

Dorm life may be rather squalid, but I’d recommend you endure it for the human interaction it offers—such as friends….

Dorm during the week. Mansion on the weekends. Friends anytime, no question!

Have a couple of friends move into the mansion! Study sessions by the pool.

Correction, Tiff.The home luxuries you listed to Dez you do not have. They belong to your father…not you.
