That is an ADORABLE photo! And as miffed as Puck looks in it, he can’t be all that annoyed since the fur isn’t flying. (Why yes, I HAVE had cats try to use other cats as unwilling mattresses.)
Ohhhhh SNAP!!! And Puck does deserve his space, especially in a crowded apartment, and given his special birdwatching hobby. That perch on the top of the tower is the best place for ornithological voyeurism.
OT here… Sorry to learn about Lupin, Georgia. He was a most handsome cat (I peeked at the pictures on your Facebook page) and will be missed. It’s good that he lives on in your delightful comic.
I got two cats Kirby and Johnny Depp from a shelter. There were both kittens but Kirby was six months older. Johnny Depp immediately assumed Kirby was his personal pillow and persisted in that belief after they were both full grown. Kirby was a very mellow cat but if Johnny Depp got too obnoxious about it, Kirby would fling him off the cat tree bed. Johnny Depp would bounce right back for a nap, but a little chastised.
I have a picture of two of my cats on the top of the cat tree. The younger one was a kitten at the time, and it looked like she was snuggling with the older one. Actually, she was trying to get him to leave.
Out of all the kitties I’ve ever had, no one slept on top of each other. Next to each other, yes, not on top of each other. Even now, oopsie tries to get close, sticks out a paw to touch Sebastian. And when we’re all on the bed, I have one hand on each of them. Sometimes looking like a weird pretzel…..
It is sad when a dear pet dies. However, the death is only the smallest part of that wonderful relationship. They live on in our hearts, pictures, videos and cherished comic strips.
My cats think I am a nice, soft kitty pillow. All. Night. Long. I am only 5 ft 4 inches. Hubby is 6’ 2". But do any cats sleep on six feet of warm husband? No.
As my mother used to say, could anything else happen? Don’t answer that. Foxy is hiding under a couch outside on the patio. She’s been there for hours. Something spooked her, likely all the loud conversations this morning. (nothing bad, someone here can’t hear and talks REALLY LOUD, has to have everything turned up to 11) I’ve tried everything from fish flakes to tuna water, she purrs when I reach under there and stroke her, but she won’t budge. I was going out today, couldn’t get anything done. I’m sure she’ll come in eventually, but I can’t leave the back door open, it’s too cold. I have to sit near the back door so that I’ll hear her and open it when she does decide to come in.

No use, Lupin. In the face of that photo, your defence is doomed.

Chaos is only wrong to the chaotic when it’s doesn’t involve them creating it, Puck. Therefore Lupin is in the right… I think.

I love how Puck and photo-Puck have the exact same expression and eyebrows.

Yes, Lupin is the last cat to talk about respecting boundaries and sharing. Trying to shame Puck was not a smart move.

Puck, you may want to back that bus up – all that photo shows is that you too are guilty of monopolizing a space that was intended for communal use.
If Tommy tries that tactic on Sophie, I bet she’d move pretty quickly … once she got out from under all that flooff.

Now, boys, play nicely and share the cat tower. Lupin, stop sleeping on top of Puck; he doesn’t like it and it is very uncomfortable for him.

Well it hasn’t been very long
Tears for you keep flowing strong
We remember the things that you used to do
Raggin’ on Goldie, buggin’ Pucky too
We just can’t deny it, we’ll never be over you
… We miss you like crazy, miss you like crazy
Ever since you went away
Every hour of every day
We miss you like crazy
Miss you like crazy
No matter what we say or do
There’s just no getting over you ❤️❤️❤️

Lupin stopped cold in his counter arguement. Never try argueing too hard with Puck, he’ll potentially whip out evidence supporting his claims.
