OK! So this is the set up. Tiff is supposed to play up to Oxford in an attempt to make Kip jealous. Then Ox gets his feeling crushed because he thinks she’s serious. REALLY!?!?

Or worse. Tiff ignores Ox all evening.

Maybe Ox will cold-cock Kip after Kips makes some kind of a misstep directed at Ox or Tiff! Sweet!

Well, Ox, you’re brushed aside once again…watch her in action. Psst…she hates her roommate but I am actually not sure how she feels about Kip because she is always acting around him!

Kip looks like a kid who just got told he has to eat his broccoli before he gets dessert.

So. If this arc continues next week, when do the “Stef insults Ox,” bit start?

I thought Ox was going to pull a Cyrano de Bergerac and practice by saying nice things to Tiffany. But, noooooo, thanks to Greg’s style, it’s “Screwed again”. This time for Ox.

So the week has been about what a good waitress Tiffany is, and then this happens! Thanks a lot, Evanses. Kip is so boring he’d be better off with Luann. That’s usually been her type, after all.

Two choices:

1. Lock the door to the storeroom.

2. Don’t tell Stef about the new security cameras.

Tiff, Kip first is a loser and second wants nothing to do with you because Stef and he are together.

I’m visualizing Kip with a dog collar around his neck and Stef is holding the chain.

Tiff you are a very shallow person.

That was the biggest boost-up to the biggest crash-down I have seen in a long time.

And I bet they’re lousy tippers!!!

Notice how Kip was smiling in the second panel but haa more of a grimace in the third panel when Stef appears. It’s like Kip was happy to see Tiffany but not so happy when his erstwhile girlfriend shows up.

That cheer leading uniform must STANK

Kip’s expression in the 3rd frame doesn’t appear he is all too comfortable in Stephanie’s grip, which is what I’m thinking Kip is stuck in. Stephanie is merely the quarterback’s favorite receiver he passes to to score. How much longer before Oxford catches on that he just gets tables Tiffany doesn’t want? BUT Kip will request Tiffany serve his table, then Ox will REALLY get to see Tiffany “act”.

Clingy Girlfriend is Clingy

Suddenly Act is become almost impossible for Tiffany. I wonder if Ox is still in the college football team and Kip is his teammate. Maybe they have known each other for years and are good friends. Maybe Ox doesn’t like him because he knows some dirty secrets about him.

And here I go.

To Tiffany, Ox isn’t what she thinks a real man should be.

I just had a mental image of Stef standing in front of her closet and the only clothes in there are cheerleading uniforms.

Sad that Tiffany ignores the down to earth nice guy in front of her and goes for a superficial jerk like Kip. Kip and Stef are like Barbie and Ken dolls, plastic fantastic.

Ox needs to move on. Tiff is like a lot of young women, always attracted to her ideal of masculine beauty, rather than the genuine feelings standing right next to her.

Tiff has affection for Ox, but she is not attracted to him. Affection you can control… Attraction you cannot. “Nice but boring” is not attractive. The “cool, slick bad boy” types make for fun, interesting boyfriends in the short term, but they make for lousy long-term mates.

There’s a line of innuendo I could throw in here about “there’s nothing else” to Steph than that short cheerleader skirt. But I’m not going to sink that low. I’ll just let the MCP in us work it out.

I think she’s what we can call a low wattage bulb…not too much light in the attic.

I wish Ox would man up and ask her out on a real date, but I don’t see it happening :/

Boy that sweet moment didn’t last long. From real to superficial. Tiffany has potential for affection but the inability to figure out real affection from wishing for Kip, who would look at her as another trophy. Steffi? Well, such an example of vicious superficiality.

Poor Ox! Kicked in the butt by love…

Kip is drawn as really cute, and actually more realistic looking than the Raggedy Ann doll he’s dating.

I just noticed that Ox has a nose like Gunther’s. He could almost be a relative although he’s never been acknowledged as such.

Interesting that I was just mentioning Kip. Did you see how Tiffany’s face lit up at the sight of him? Poor Ox doesn’t stand a chance with her so enamored of (Ugh) Kip. At least not right now. Things may change but Tiffany has a HUGE crush on Kip Lee and I don’t see that abating anytime soon. Her acting skills will be stretched to the limit as she waits on these two.

As in, we are no longer going to see Tiffany without Steffi in short tow.

We had five days of Tiffany before Steffi showed up.

If Brad and Toni are any guide, expect in the weeks (years) to come, that will probably shorten down to the usual Steffi-in-the-last-panel-of-day-one of any Tiffany arc.
