I have applied at our local no-kill shelter to adopt another cat. The cat I am hoping to get is a black domestic long hair. I’ll keep you all posted as to whether I am deemed worthy of this young gentleman.
I wish I was snuggled in something comfy. Yesterday was not a holiday for my workplace but we got a big snowfall Sunday night so my boss texted me yesterday morning and told me to stay home. No such text this morning so I had to slog through knee deep snow to get here. My pants legs are wet cause my boots aren’t high enough. Yesterday was so much better. Drank hot coco and read a book. Now I’m just chilled through and through. I hate winter.

“All of these memories—so many of them based on real life memories of Lupin—have meant so much to read here. Thank you so much everyone for loving Lupin with our family and holding him in your hearts. Of course, I’ve never been able to explain the comic to the cats, however I hold it up to them or they sleep on my paintings, haha. I hope so much that whenever Lupin is now, he finally can understand the whole picture and know just how many people adored him and what he means to everyone. Thank you for grieving with us and loving him. This was such a beautiful thread to read, I can’t thank you all enough.”
Dear Georgia: Many, MANY metric bonkers’ worth of thanks & much love to you for sharing the lives of Lupin & all the other Good Boys & Girls with us. You make the world a much better place! Continued (((((HUGGZ))))) & PURRRRRRRRRRZ to you & yours… ♥♥♥♥♥

The other day Georgia wrote how she was listening to “The Highwayman” over and over while she mourned Lupin. It made me think of how I couldn’t stop hearing a particular song while I was deep in grief over Ginger Tom — “I’d Rather Be a Wanderer”: https://youtu.be/ZkpBGxMhmT8

Is that actually part of the tower, or did Tommy dig out a laundry bag and tie it to the tower?

What is Tommy supposed to be in? It looks like a bad funky top hat.

With mighty hunter Tommy snuggled in, the lesser creatures of the wild living room jungle should fear eventual doom.

It’s nice to see everyone so happy. Makes me feel like it’s OK for me to be, too.

Tommy. I envy your optimism but at this point it’s a little delusional.

Those jungle cats sure have impressive towers!

I think the only thing that Tommy “hunts” is good vibes. And that’s a great thing.

The infiltrator has infiltrated the tower!

I admire Tommy’s daring. Instead of being safely snugged into the bottom tunnel, he is courageously using a wobbly cloth sack thingy.

We have a hammock like that on our indoor cat tree. Tommy likes his more than my cats like ours. Mine prefer the top or the cubbyhole.

Because all jungle cats sleep in stripped hammocks. ;)

It’s nice to see Tommy so happy in his hammock.

I see him sitting in his cave
She naps above him
She doesn’t have a care
He sits there and smiles at me
And I knew (I knew, I knew, I knew, I knew)
They are very happy (happy, happy)
Tommy’s in his lair, Sophie’s way up there
I love that Tommy boy
Oh, and I know just why
He’s such a caring guy
I love that Tommy boy, he is so sweet and kind
Such floof, it blows my mind
(Blows my mind, blows my mind)

Tommy the mighty hunter. He kills with his wonderful smile. His prey simply cannot resist being overwhelmed by his charm and fall flat in seconds.

Poor Tommy, still not allowed anywhere near the cat tower. Having to resort to a bag hung off the cat tower.
