Though it’s true it took us a bit of practice

We have happily warmed up to this cactus

Its kind’s toothiness has been well-reported

But this one’s harmless; now we have that sorted

Friendly arms outstretched, its charm is strong

Of course, Elvis knew that all along

All they need now is some sand and water and they’ll really have a tropical paradise! Hot summer, cool kitties!

Not too many saguaros in the tropics, lol. Shouldn’t that be desert oasis, anyway? A tiny mix up with tropical paradise, maybe?

My cats would like that. They do have cat trees. A nice, tall scratching post keeps my furkids happy.

The best parts of the beach – fun swimwear, plenty of comfortable spots for lounging, good friends, and none of the bother of actual water or sand (which is very useful in its place, but not for playing on in their world).

I’m so happy to see such peaceful co-existence. Now she needs a name. Perhaps “Rosita” for her festive hat? Cactus Flower reminds me of Goldie Hawn, but we already have a Goldie. Maybe it’s best to leave it to the children to name her.

Goldie, Goddess of Thunder yields her “hammers of Justice” Mjolnir and Stormbreaker in a display of power. She thwarts the saguaro cactus puff-like flower with them.

The mystical elves made both hammers of a mythical uru metal. They forged them in the light of a dying star, and fashioned them with Toebeans of power. squeeeeee

She sees her “brother” Loki. The others, and you, yourself; see you as a god of Chaos. But low, you are not. You are truly the god of Mischief, and though you play as rivals, you love me, and I you, dear brother.

The king of the Pride looks down at his pack. The golden child, though she is newly minted in our group, truly belongs. Look at her, at play with Lupin, with whom seems to share an affinity with the child. Although, at first, he was wary of the green intruder, he sees that this saguaro cactus is not the spiny monster the others had been, so invites him to stay with the Pride and become part of their savannah home.

The deadly panther has found a new nesting limb. This saguaro cactus is soft and velvety. A perfect tree, though seemingly out of place in this Rainforest Jungle. Water is plenty here in the rainforest, perhaps that is what all of the saguaro need, is more to drink, and they would be less cranky and nicer to the world. I will bring them more water, and make them nice, thought the deadly panther. After my nap, which is before my bedtime, but I will definitely get on that, “zzzzzzzz”.

and what of the God of Chaos, himself. He thinks, "Hit the puff! Hit the puff! Hit the puff!’

OT: My ex got a visit from the local police dept. Milwaukee PD found my son deceased. It appears to be a drug overdose. An autopsy will be done on Monday and we will know more then.

The cats are happy, the cactus is happy, life is good.

I gave my kitty a surprise treat last night – TUNA! She was so happy her tail poofed out!

Every pet deserves their own tropical oasis.

(cue Midnight at the Oasis)

Even the portable radio appears to have a face. :-)

Just looked for these kinds of cat scratching posts – small ones on Amazon go for $30 and up, large one’s $150 and up.

I’ve found the best time to buy them is near the end of the year, my local “Pet Supplies Plus” pet store marks them down half price right around Christmas time to get rid of them so they have room for the next year’s models. Got two very large multiple layered ones for less than half price – about $50 each then.

So cute! Goldie and Lupin playing tether ball with the hanging pom-pom on the arm of the cactus that Elvis is resting. Everyone on beach gear…fun in the sun…Surfs up!!!

They’re going to need some Woman attention to remove all those prickly slivers their getting.
