Tucked in sheets are nice

WHO sleeps in a fully tucked bed? Would be hard to move. Guess John sleeps like a vampire or a mummy inside a coffin. When I get hot, I move aside half of the blanket off my body or slip a foot down the side of the bed. In the summer, I don’t bother with a flat sheet at all. Just the fitted.

Ahh, this is a classic! Every single guy should make a copy of this and save it. Pull it out to remind you when you are about to say those wedding vows, "Do you take this woman for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness or in health, for as long as she sleeps with her bare feet on the pillow beside you!

Socks.

I’m over six feet tall. When I sleep stretched out, my feet and ankles are always out of the bed. While my head is next to the headboard.

Better yet—get separate beds. That’s how so many 50’s TV marriages managed to survive.

My feet get hot sometimes, so I stick them out the side of the bed. Works for me and doesn’t disturb my hubby. :)

I both love having my sheets tucked at the foot AND having my feet stuck out. That’s what the side of the bed is for.

Harry Morgan (Col. Potter of M*A*S*H fame) once said that the secret to a happy marriage is having separate bathrooms. He didn’t say anything about sleeping in separate beds, though…

Time to get up and sleep on the couch.

Hot feet. I suffer from hot feet. I have walked outside onto the porch at -40 and been happy to feel the cold. This was the beginning of my “journey” through menopause, and I’m still suffering. In my next life, I’m going to be a man. Then I will have comfortable feet!

But it’s still not tucked in with her head sticking out the bottom!

I knew a couple who found a solution – one bed and two sets of sheets and blankets, side by side, with one bedspread to cover the lot.

She did find another way.

Speak for yourself. Women like it that way.

My feet are always hot. Hence the sheet stays untucked.

What a baby

When I’m hot in bed I first try sticking my feet out the side of the covers to cool down.

Not me. Too confining for my feet.

My husband doesn’t like the covers tucked in either!!!!

He’s lucky her feet are hot. My wife had cold feet all the time even in summer (only time they were comfortable to me) in winter, I would be just about to fall asleep and she would ‘weedle’ her feet in between my lower legs and the chill would wake me up and I would have to start all over getting sleepy. I finally got her a hot water bottle that she kept near her feet and I could get some sleep.

John, it’s been nearly 20 years. Aren’t you by now used to Elly THINKING OF NO ONE BUT HERSELF!?

Probably peripheral neuropathy. I got it too. Feet always outside the covers.

I came back to this comic after many years of reading it. I thought others left comments about how the characters aged over time? I think this looks like where I left off about 20 years ago. Anyone know of a similar cartoon where the characters have shown some signs of growing older? Kids grew up, got married?

We have to do this, but that’s because the fan is on his side at the head. No air movement/cooling on my side.

I don’t read this strip expecting to be titillated, but do the bedroom drawings really have to be so relentlessly unappealing?

I like my sheets tucked in and neat and my husband constantly kicked out his side so I decided to just tuck my side and leave his side loose. We have a California king with a very heavy mattress so it works well for us. In the morning it’s easy to straighten the covers when I make the bed and we’re both happy although he has to help me lift my corner of the bed when I change the sheets.

I can’t sleep without untucking the bed, the pressure actually hurts my big toes!
