Hopefully Ox reported that Tiff said “burglars” and the police have searched the house. Now, Les go back to your dishes and Ox can accompany Tiff to the hospital.
I see an ambulance, so at last Tiffany might be getting the medical help she probably needs, after that fall. That, at least, is a relief. The dueling wanna-be heroes is just a groan-fest…
FINALLY! Someone (Ox) called 911. Surely the police will check out the house and we’ll get an answer about the window. Tiff will be in the hospital. Will we find out how badly Tiff is hurt (not that much, I expect). Does daddy show up? Will he make some changes in her living arrangements? Will we find out her true friends by who shows up at the hospital? Will Bets show up and want to post this to her followers (I hope not). Les will surely try and take credit for saving her. Will Tiff finally recognize what a friend she has in Ox? Tune in all of this week for “as the Mooney Uni turns” soap opera.
Les is trying to impress the officer by making his actions sound official and helpful when they weren’t. He wants to make himself look like the hero to tiffany so as to score brownie points.
So is Tiff getting help in the ambulance i would hope, Why is Les talking. Ox tell the officer what he needs to know and tell Les you have this under control.
The policewoman is so well drawn I suspect she will stick around for a bit. Greg tends to draw temporary characters quite generically. And will she ask if they work at the same place upon observing both have the same work logo affixed to their uniforms? Will that alert them that they abandoned their jobs and need to return ASAP?
Bragging is off-putting, by itself. But it’s even more obnoxious when a person brags about doing something that made things worse. Yes, I’m talking to YOU, Les.
Big Dumb Ox was really wrong to pick Tiffany up, it was totally the worst thing he could have done and Les was correct about not moving her. Beyond that, Greg has these two acting like five year-olds and WHY has Ox shrunk again??
Nice coloring and handling of background in panel 1. Will they visit Tiffany in the hospital, contact her father, go back to the Kafe and inform their bosses or continue arguing? An-tis-a-pay-shun! §:-o
My only issue with this scenario is Tiff’s dad is smart, rich and has this mansion. It would certainly be protected by a hi-tech security system that would have called the police as soon as the window was broken.
Hilarity ensues, as I always like to point out. These two bozos have genuine concern for Tiffany, that is obvious, and anyone who follows the strip can see how that has been developed in a fun, but quite deep way: Ox’s sweet shyness and obvious romantic interest (I feel much sorrier for him than Gunther who has the hot babe, after all, even though some don’t and never will approve of her as a main character or Gunther GF), Les’ clear trauma trying to become the opposite of anti-social, after the number his mom, the evil Ann Eiffel (Awful) sociopathic grifter did on him. Les has a deep-seated insecurity but shares a problematic parent issue with Tiffany. Hilarity will still ensue as we go forward, even though with all the projection, I argue that the story is being missed. Whatever though, there is more than one way to enjoy this strip, which is drawn humorously, while it makes some very universal human behavior insights. Why I like it after more than 30 years.
So when Les does useless karate poses he is rightfully mocked, but when Tara did them she was praised (see the strip for March 2-3, 2021.) Talk about a double standard.
Maybe Les and Tara should get together. She does karate poses, too.
Remember how she “scared” off her evil cousin, who was in the process of leaving anyway? Just before said cousin flattened her with a car? :D :D :D :P :P :P
Does anyone else see the possibility of les and ox being inspired for police academy ?I also predict dad will come home to look over the situation and decide it’s not safe for Tiffany to be alone in the mansion. (No thanks to bets broadcasting that on her YouTube vlog) The broken window will prove to be nothing, but it did lead to her getting hurt. Dad won’t be able to return home because of work, so Tiffany won’t be staying alone…so new roommates at mansion, or back to the dorm?
I believe that most cops’ jobs are like this interview, rather than what you see on TV. Les is of course being an idiot whilst Ox is actually helpful; but it still seems tedious. All of you in law enforcement have my respect.

Les is being totally annoying! Can the officer please Tase him?? lol
At least, Tiff is now in the hands of the professionals.Who knew that cops, in the city of Pitts, drive police cars from the 1980’s?? lol
.
I guess they’ll both go to the hospital with Tiff.
Will they ever show what broke the window.. or are we screwed??

Why is Les, who has been in trouble with the law, trying to impress this police officer with his bullsh*t story?
Hasn’t Knox learned that “Snitches get Stitches?”
That aside, where do We go next? Tiffany’s hospital bedside or a search of the “manse” by law enforcement revealing “who” or “what” broke that window?
And by the way.
Wouldn’t it be a hoot if that Officer happened to be Bets’ mom?
