I just don’t understand what they are doing with the additional rooms. Are they just expanding the existing apartments or is one new three-story apartment? Lupin, Puck, Elvis, I want some diagrams!
Comedy gold.. it’s also nice that with all the needling Lupin does to Elvis, he gets one back… and entirely reasonably at that. I mean sure glass houses and all that (To quote the dignified boy himself “Gimme them death noodles”) but Lupin probably WOULD die horribly were the man not taking these percautions and he knows it.
Interesting to see Elvis’ view of his cohabitants. I have never seen Lupin try to eat a lamp, but he is definitely the “try anything once” sort. Hopefully this will open the door to cats going in the addition.
A new year, the same me. What cryptids are you hoping to spot in the coming 12 months? I dearly hope to glimpse a jackalope. Just once. [praying hands]

I do not understand these fangled tech-pictures. I suppose now I can no longer text “I’m on the case! [Groucho face]” (but I still will! Hercule Poirot would not be thwarted, nor will I! [Groucho face])
My friend Wicket claims this emoji [Groucho face] does not mean “detective”?? I’m at a loss, that’s the emoji for the famed Hercule Poirot, is it not?
“…two small cats, three reasonable cats, and Lupin….” LOL!
FWIW, though, early 1900s electrical wiring — like ‘knob and tube’ wiring — is actually safer than modern wiring. Early electric plants involved a great deal more ‘design paranoia’ because electricity was new — keeping the positive and negative wires 4-5 inches apart was a result of extreme caution that proved to be unnecessary. When I had an electrician come in to replace a few left over circuits in an old house, she explained this to me as she worked on those circuits without even turning off the breakers. =8-o
Having grown up in an old house built in the early 1900s, I can picture the non-Polarized & non-Grounded outlets in the baseboard near the floor (or IN the floor); the triple-tap plugs or extension cords in some; and the fabric-wrapped cords on the old lamps.
We would like to thank everyone for their comments on the loss of Yoko. The outpouring of sympathy and condolences are overwhelming. The Orbsters have created a support group that is truly amazing and caring. Once again thank you.

I thought he knocked over lamps, not that he ate them. Can’t imagine a lamp being tasty no matter how hungryhe is.

That is so Lupin. Elvis has a point about 100s wiring. It could end anyone.

… Ah, he likes bread and butter
Ah, he likes volts and amps
Ah, says Elvis won’t impede him
As he chomps on all the lamps
… Well, he woke up early one Friday
Saw much to his surprise
The old electric wire
Fixed by the lovin’ Man
… No more fluffernutter
Ah, no more volts and amps
No more shocks from his light eating
Ah, he’s still a live-wire scamp

Any lamp you want, as long as it’s off, and unplugged, and also no, Lupin, no lamps for you. Stick with staring into them.

From Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: Candy Man
Who can take a lamp stand?
Knock it to the floor?
Take a bite of the lampshade and then run right through the door?
The Lupin can
The Lupin cat can
The Lupin cat can because he is a Cat of Adventure and he knows it’s all good!
…….
Who can create chaos?
Make it all seem nice?
Leave a wake of ruin without even thinking twice?
The Lupin can
The Lupin cat can
The Lupin cat can because he is a Cat of Adventure and he knows it’s all good!
…….
The Lupin cat runs, has a lot of fun
Knocks everything to the floor, it
Just like a tornado, even more, it
But we all forgive him for it!
…….
Who can hide by white walls?
Walk around unseen?
Sneak up when unexpected with a Thwump it’s really keen!
The Lupin can
The Lupin cat can
The Lupin cat can because he is a Cat of Adventure and he knows it’s all good!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Puckmosis: Looks like the Artisans’ work is just about complete.
Maat-Tilda: Now we need to rig the sails.
Elvis-Anum: The crew should be able to do that, right?
Tillie: Yes, but they could use a little help.
Puckmosis: Iggy’s a sailor, I’m sure he would be glad to help.
Beatrixia: And don’t forget you have an expert climber. Two, actually.
Elvis-Anum: We just have to make sure Ora Z doesn’t get too carried away.
