Considering which two cats are in that last room, there is a distinct possibility that the camera is perfectly upright and the cats are literally upside down.
My cats love cobwebs and dust bunnies, can’t keep them out of them. Yesterday I ended up moving and cleaning under the stove because the new kitten was obsessed with fetching bits of stuff from under it.
I love the details Georgia gives: making Goldie’s paw/toe beans not only larger, but slightly out of focus, as if she’s touching the camera lens. Wonder if Tommy and Sophie and Fig and Tabitha will also be doing live feeds?
So we have established two of the rooms are nice, which is certainly meaningful when we can’t see anything past our feline reporters. We have also established that one room is upside down, and that Lupin has taught Ora Zella the secret to turning a ceiling into a floor. If there’s anyone who believes in themself, it is that kitten!
I so appreciate Georgia’s artwork and creativity! This comic is always lovely, with so many wonderful little touches that really set it apart from the others. The wonderful range of emotions, details such as the blurred paw in the foreground, the upside-down camera – each cat’s character is so well-developed, and they are all so endearing.
I am also so glad to be part of this online community! I may not be able to keep on top of who everyone is, but I do care; and I appreciate all the love shown here. It’s a definite reflection of the artist. I’m sure Georgia never imagined her comic about cats as TV news reporters would engender such a loving and supportive community, but it’s a reflection of what she brings to the table.
Like the Miss Havisham reference! But I’m pretty sure the People completely scoured the new side of dust and cobwebs before giving cats the go-ahead to explore.
Read “Great Expectations” in freshman English when I was 12 or 13. I didn’t care for it that much except for Miss Havisham’s wedding reception. My opinion of the book changed as I got older. Edgar Rice Burroughs used the party thing in one of his Mars books, IIRC. Could have been Pellucidar.

Looks like the floor is a ceiling for Lupin and Ora Zella.

Poor scared Pucky! But it’s ok! Goldie’s Huge Toebeans, and Lupin doing Lupin things. Ora Z bounding through the air. ALL IS WELL?

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Iggy Shipwright: Alright, Kitties, time to take your mats and listen to a story.
Kitten Neferu: Is it about boats and sailing?
Iggy: Yes. It’s about a small wooden boat’s journey down the Nile, called Paddle to the Nile.
Iggy Reads
Ms Sebayt: Time to go, class. Can we all thank Mr. Iggy?
Class: Thank you, Mr. Iggy!
Iggy: That was fun. Maybe I could read to them some other time.
Beatrixia: I think they’d like that. Maybe you could read to some of the other classes as well.
Ora Zed: I’d like to make a boat like Paddle! Do you think Wally or Iron Glove would let me use their tools?
Bea: Maybe when you’re a bit older.
Ora: Can I make boats to sail on the Nile?
Bea: For now why not make origami boats? They could float.
Ora: Ooh…Could we burn them when we’re done?
Iggy: Let’s make the boats first.

Nice!
I think Ora would be scary on caffeine. Kittens tend to go at 100 or 0, rarely anything else. Yes, Monroe is a definite exemplar of this.

I think Lupin and Ora Zella are in The Man and Woman’s new bedroom. It looks like the headboard that OZ is scampering across.

Our most Pucky-like cat is Holly Bear. Holmes is an orange version of Lupin – total chaos, but so cute doing it.

May not be the camera. I can believe Lupin and Ora Zella are really upside down.

No, it’s okay, Burt, Lupin’s just recording this live from the ceiling, because that’s just something that mad lad would do.

In the last panel, it looks like Ora Zella just ran into one of Lupin’s ears and out the other—which may be entirely possible!
