Dust, cobwebs, and maybe dragons, and now Lava?! Puck don’t listen to the small cat, she’s just being her silly self.

I gotta say, kitties in hazmat suits are just too cute.

How does “higher ceilings” work? The picture on Sunday, March 12th, 2023, doesn’t seem to agree.

Maybe the ceiling looks higher – somehow – or… the carpet isn’t so thick?

Ah, I suspected Iggy has a trace of Mr. Literal, to say nothing of an anxious Puck watching the broadcast. Do not worry Puck, there is no lava and no dragons, at least not in the Big Pink House.

I love that the cats have such great imaginations. Some kids just don’t have that now days.

That reminds me we had wide spread power outages yesterday. Thus I actually saw many kids playing in the park!

The native Hawaiians have two names for hardened lava that have been adopted as geological terms: “pahoehoe” is the stuff that has a ropy surface texture and is easy to walk on; the shattered, sharp surface texture type is “aa.” You don’t walk on the latter with bare feet.

OT: Posters/Orbsters not seen lately

The anniversary of the beginning of BCN was just 4 days ago. I just now saw that Georgia posted about it four days ago. “9 years ago today Lupin knocked everything off a shelf and I scribbled out a quick little funny comic about it for friends on Facebook. Within days I’d check to see if the domain “breakingcatnews” was available, letting that make my decision for me. Thank goodness it was. Soon the comic would be catching on—momentarily stuck with the quick, thrown together artwork at first. (My art degree still winces. ) Webcomic, newspapers, and the seventh book out in October—it’s been an amazing (and fast!!) nine years.Next year will mark TEN YEARS of ‘Breaking Cat News’! I can’t believe it! Thank you so much for reading and enjoying my stories and jokes. It feels like a miracle that I get to make this wonderful comic and somehow people love to read it. Thank you!!”

I remember playing “The Floor is Lava” in my Nana’s living room one afternoon when she was watching me while my parents were shopping. They came back just in time to take me to get stitches under my right eyebrow (I missed the couch and banged my head on the arm of a chair).
