And they’re off! Newcomer Ora Z has taken the early lead out of the box on the inside followed closely by Leaping Lupin and then Goldie making a move on the outside. Too early to tell but you know it will be hotly contested as they make their way down the stretch.

There used to be a great horse track announcer named Trevor Denman who called a lot of races out in Santa Anita from the ‘80s into the 2010’s, he would do an amazing job calling the felines as they jostle for position and execute their strategies.

OT…I discovered a week or two ago that my cat has a small gingival mass on her lower left gum that’s right next to her canine. Basically it looks like a very small pink pea. I took her to one corporate owned vet clinic who said it would be about $800 to take care of, and I have a lower estimate from a non-corporate vet. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for good pet insurance so that I can have my beloved cat treated? Money is tight right now.

Ora Zella looks like she’s going straight to light speed… :P

The Flash has nothing on Ora Zella.

Every race should start with cool laser sounds! It seems to have put Elvis at a disadvantage, but it will be tricky to catch Ora Zella anyway. Then again, as we know from the Halloween arc, stamina could be an issue for our unsettlingly polite racer.

Beatrixia: This is what we’ve found so far, Ms Cleary. There was a fire at the Library at Meowlexandria. The library was destroyed, but it appears at least some of the scrolls were saved. The Procurer’s Guild may have been involved.

Ms Cleary: Please, just call me Bev. I’ve heard the stories, and I understand the Mouse and Beaver Divisions were involved in the scroll rescue.

Elvis-Anum: But will they tell what they did with the scrolls?

Bev: I think so. Procurers do like to conceal their sources, but in a case like this they would want the scrolls to be available to everyone.

Puckmosis: So where should we start?

Bev: In the 932s, Ancient History. I see young Bea is already heading over there.

The “Cool Laser Sounds” chyron/sound effect is my new favorite! Great font choice, Burt! And the color even matches the accents on the space laser! (I also love that it’s a space laser, not a gun.)

Cataract surgery went well this morning. Only hiccup was a thunderstorm moved through during surgery prep. Lights momentarily went out. Generator kicked in and got lights back but no computer. That came back about 15 minutes later. Surgery was right on time and now I’m home

I would give anything to have that space laser right now!

YAY!!!!!!! Our clowder had a Zoomie night last night. I made them all spend the day in the catio and on the Wheel to burn it off today. And they still have Zoomies right now.
