Ooh! We get to meet the moles? Who are they? What do they want? Why are they digging all those tunnels and making all those holes and hills? Get in there, Bea and find out for us!
As I recall, that was the same reaction of Puck and Lupin to having anything harness-like put on them (shirts, costumes, etc), they flopped down on the floor and refused to move. Elvis, on the other hand, seemed to find shirts and such comforting.
Oh boy MOLES! Some more new characters! It’s been a while. I also hope we get to see Tommy’s friend Louie at some point. He sprays people when he’s startled.
With Beatrix’s sunny disposition and eternal smile, I’m sure she could coax their story from the moles. Though, they may not quite see her at first, as moles have very poor eyesight.
A story about investigating moles? I looked back in the BCN stories I have saved to my archive and found these 2 from the Baba Mouse/Angus/Jules 1991 arc of a couple summers back and it looks like the Mole News Network might have been present for Jules trial:
Perhaps if this is a long arc it may bring in Baba Mouse and if she crossed paths with any of these moles to get intel on the mole holes and subsequent moles who might be invading the big pink house’s front yard. Heck before long it will be time for Jules to make his annual appearance as well, time is certainly flying.
In spite of Tabitha’s obstructive and time-wasting motion, they have come up with two excellent ideas for investigative stories. Elvis is the perfect reporter to dig out the awful truth about the trash, and Tommy’s familiarity with the outside world will enable him to find out what the moles are up to.
Frankly, I’m glad they’ll be investigating the moles, because we saw and commented on them in one of the move-in comics, a while ago. Can someone find a linky? (I’m at work, and supposed to be paying attention to my meeting.) (Don’t tell.)
These meeting ‘minutes’ are absolutely adorable and it’s a lot of fun to picture the scenes with my mind’s eye. But my mind isn’t near the artist that Georgia is so my pictures tend to be a bit blurry and weak on detail!
Ladybug Day 5: She is managing to walk, sort of, using both rear legs. Only a few steps at a time and extremely wobbly but an improvement. Still no control over her tail or bladder. She did give herself a bath yesterday (of course we are also bathing her areas that are getting urine soaked) but good to see her able and wanting to clean. Appetite still strong.Thank you all for the good thoughts.
A couple of years ago, I suddenly had moles in my front yard. At that time, I had been living in this house for nearly 30 years. I had to use a service to get rid of them because I didn’t have enough cats. I can’t wait to hear Tommy’s report!

Mort Dixon and Harry M. Woods: I’m Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover
I’m drawing over the four leaf clovers while Ora sleeps on the floor,
Writing and planning, investigate holes
That were allegedly created by moles!
No need explaining investigating
Is something I’m waiting for!

I can’t get past one cat being able to put another cat into a harness. Then can’t they take it off, too?

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
At the Artisans’ Studio
Iggy: We got some great information on creating musical instruments, but I’m still a bit unsure about inventing a guitar.
Iron Glove: I think what we need is someone who is more experienced in instrument making.
Wally: There is a guild of instrument makers. I think the ones who specialize in stringed instruments are called luthiers.
Iggy: How can we find out how to meet them?
Iron Glove: Need you ask?
Sometime Later
Agnes-Ata: Yes, we know the Luthier’s Guild. I’ll make some inquiries.
Iggy: Thanks so much. How do you ladies know so many people?
Ta-Natash: It’s all part of being a Procurer. But there are some things we’ll just never tell.

Make sure he keeps tabs on that UTI. I lost my mom to an unmedicated UTI; it became septic (forgot the correct name).
