Iggy is the newest intern. Burt is a great mentor. Maybe Baba will work with Ora while she’s there.

Too bad faculty meetings didn’t have as many breaks as this Station Meeting seems to have.

I’ve worked a few sound boards, I like doing that. At home doing avant-garde, and at church for praise and worship.

Iggy the sound cat? And where did he get the cup from? I thought Burt put them all away?

I’m hoping we get to see these Las Gatos stories. While I get why their often isolated to their own network, it’d help give them a bit more to do. And awwwww… Iggy gains a new trade thanks to Uncle Burt.

Love “Uncle Burt”. That’s a new experience for Burt as well.

“Fix” the soundboard. Right. The soundboard is not likely to need “fixing,” but Iggy, as uncle snipe pointed out, needs redirecting. (And possibly some career training, as well. We’ll see.)

Always redirect a kitten.

It works pretty well with Monroe. He’s easily distracted most of the time.

Wonder if I could get the recipe for the kibble cookies?

I can’t wait for the spider story! All spiders in my house get gently relocated to the outdoors though it depends on the type of spider as to where in the outdoors they go. The basement spiders though are house spiders and they stay in the basement. That’s their job. I don’t go in the basement so we respect each other’s space and if they do wander upstairs, they’re relocated back to the basement :)

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Iggy: Alright, the Royal Procurers agreed to contact the Luthiers’ Guild on our behalf. How they have so many connections is a story never told.

Iron Glove: I’m glad we’re getting some help. This instrument making seems more complicated than I realized.

Iggy: And I want to get the guitar just right for my cousin when his ship, the Red Planet Spider puts back in to port.

Iggy: Splendid! I would also like to show you the scrolls we found in what we think are from the Library at Meowlexandria.

Mandy: Oh, great! Let’s take a look.

Great, Sir Fig gets a story in! Also nice job for Burt distracting Iggy. It seems one of the new kittens might have found a role at the station.

Burt will keep Iggy on the straight and honorable path….not much influence on Ora Z. though.

I’m glad Burt and Iggy are bonding over the soundboard. It’ll give the little lad something new to learn.

When I read the part with the crunching, I thought maybe Lupin had found the spider.

I wonder if Baba has ever considered marketing her amazing kibble cookies.

Good on Burt! I’m sure Iggy was terribly bored with all the grown-up talk.

Iggy doesn’t look happy in that last panel, at least not to me.

Nice of Burt to let him lend a paw with the soundboard. He’s so thoughtful.

One of my old Friends, a siamese named Miss Dozy Tickle, absolutely LOVED to chew Styrofoam! Anytime we got a package she was after the packing peanuts, and we’d have to sequester her while we gathered them up and got them out of the house. One year I got out my Christmas decorations, including a Nativity scene with all the pieces kept in their original Styrofoam, form-fitted packages, in their tight fitting boxes, and she had somehow chewed holes in the corners of some of the boxes to get at the Styrofoam! I still have that set in it’s original packaging, and I think of her every year!

Kibble cookies remind me of the Vegimals’ fish biscuits on Octonauts.

Puck’s watching Ora Z, someone needed to watch Iggy.

I assume real life Iggy must have a habit of trying to chew on styrofoam cups, as this seems to be a recurring theme within the strip.

Is it too early to start talking about a July Bug documentary?
