Dear, sweet Iggy. Such a good boy. He doesn’t want any part of Ora’s “jar crime”. Lovely term that. Almost as lovely as Elvis’ nightcap.

I see Iggy decided it was best not to be part of the great Santa caper. That might be a wise choice.

Iggy and Ora Zella remind me so much of Dee and Pru. I could see Pru staking out our fireplace top catch Santa, and I could definitely see Dee looking to Samson for protection once he figured out what she planned.

Am thinking the pink thing on Puck’s head is a night mask. Panels 1-3 he’s tucking himself under a cover, panel 4 he’s pulled down the mask over his eyes.

Elvis’s Christmas nightcap is amazing.

Is that Buzzy Mouse next to Puck – wearing a sleep mask?!?! Loudest SQUEEE ever!!!

Are they sleeping in a Christmas themed cat bed, or did they just bunch up a seasonal fuzzy blanket?

Iggy’s smart. He’s playing it safe, which is foreign to the chaos couple.

Whatever happens, I just hope Burt keeps the cameras on to record everything. Either Lupin and Ora Zella make an historic discovery/capture, or the recording becomes evidence for the Crime of the Century. How many years can a kitten get for — um, well — assaulting Santa?

Sweet Pucky Bear, ever the voice of reason today. Slowly becoming O.K. with Lupin’s mad plan. Elvis, on the other hand, has a better point. Imagine if Lupin IS right. So many ways this could go sideways, then upside-down, back around to sideways the other direction, and ultimately land on it’s face. So, as dmah said previously, let’s hope Burt keeps the cameras rolling!

One of my favorite things about Elvis is his book before bed and his reading glasses.

OT: Update on Trouble . . . bad news :(

Lupin’s theory is probably correct, but OZ’s plan is not a good idea. Iggy is being very sensible.

Fortunately for OZ, Santa has to go to Britain first. The British leave out a couple of mince pies and a glass of sherry for him, so he is likely to be in a fairly mellow mood by the time he gets to the US. The Americans (miserable pikers) just leave out milk and cookies.

It ain’t no crime to tries to nabs shape shifting aliens, cat. You be most likely unsuccessful but no crime in trying.

All of the clothing is wonderful. It wouldn’t look that good on most people.

Pucky’s already asleep, Iggy. But granddad cat’s awake!

The kitten bonds are fraying.

They both keep insisting that Lupin is wrong about his theories, but never give any actual reasons why, let alone any actual counters that could also explain the things Lupin’s theories answer, and I don’t understand why.

Further, they’re both reporters, shouldn’t they know better than to oppose something without evidence to back up their opposition? Lupin, after all, did do due diligence in doing his research to back up his theory, so it’s not like he’s just pulling this out of his fuzzy butt.

When we put out milk and cookies, we always included a few carrots for the reindeer.

Smart kitten. I wouldn’t want to be codefendant with Ora Zella in a false arrest lawsuit, either.

Good decision, Iggy. You will definitely be on Santa’s nice list.

…ah, which suggests that Elvis, being dad cat, is going to be the one to see Santa while everyone else – and the mice – is asleep.

I am so enjoying this arc and am hoping Georgia adds snow for Christmas at the BPH. Here in NE IA we look to be in for not just a brown Christmas but quite likely a rainy and muddy one. Today I am contemplating whether to make cookies or fudge or maybe both for a few local gifts while watching it rain and rain. Luckily the ground is not yet frozen so we aren’t worried about excessive run off. And truthfully any moisture is welcome to replenish ground water for spring, but oh dear it looks so dreary instead of merry!

Iggy is a cat with a conscience. Rarer than trans uranic elements in nature.

As of December 24, 2021, Puck knows that Santa is real, but alas, he didn’t provide any notes as to whether or not he was tiny when he arrived.

Lupin was there too, but since he was looking the other way, he may not have noticed.

I’m betting Ora Zella ends up catching a Santa-attired Robber Mouse by the end of this story.
