There’s a reason I hide all the presents in the same place every year. Fortunately, Spouse is considerably shorter than me… and the kids live on their own.
Many years ago, my mom hid a Croquet set family Christmas present in the basement and forgot to put it under the tree. One of us kids found it later in the Summer, just in time to use it. We never let my mother forget that.
Boy does that ever remind me of my mother! Mom would buy presents months before Christmas for us, wrap them, and then hide them so we kids couldn’t find them. The problem was, that she sometimes hid them too well, and forgot about them. We’d often get a Christmas present in February that she’d suddenly discovered.
In this age of technology for everything,I just put a reminder on my phone’s calendar, including location, and voila! Pops up the day b4 and we’re good to go‼️
Man I can really relate to that one. The wife buys stuff year round as presents for people, puts them away and forgets about them. I found the other day 4 10,000 ma power banks stuck somewhere. I asked the wife about them and she advised she got them last year to give to kids, but she didn’t because the wireless charger didn’t work so she took two and I took two.
Turns out she didn’t bother to read the directions that were printed on single sheet of paper. If she had read the very short instructions she would have learned that you have to push the on button for the wireless charger to work. Oh well, there is one in my car and one in my camera bag now that will get plenty of use.
Wrapped some early present and forgot were we put them…..4 months later we found them and the boys loved them…Told then Santa had lots of presents and over looked them then came back to make sure they got them….Works as the boys were little…..MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE…

Serves you right, Earl for wrapping her gift in a garbage bag and implying you put the wrong bag out for the garbagemen. Merry Christmas everyone!

For a change I’m right where Opal is. I know I hid a card but don’t remember where.
OH Well. After 62 years, a kiss and a hug for my sweet blue-eyed girl isn’t the worst thing I can give.
Wishing a great holiday to all and sending high hopes for the New Year too.
