Puck is so sweet, carrying Ora Z off to bed, with her chainsaw. But Elvis? What a Dad Cat, with his Precious lil Cherub! They will next star in One Sawed Thru the Cucko Clock!
The boysâ experience with the cuckoo clock starts on 2018/08/28. Apparently, they decided, off screen, to call it a draw and stay away from each other.
In a previous life, Ora Zella ran one of those ârage roomsâ where you can smash things and throw things and generally wreck the place. Iâm told itâs cathartic â and that must have given previous Ora Zella a hint, because that has âcatâ in it!
I wonder if Ora Zella will name her chainsaw? Not Buzzy, because Puck has Buzzy Mouse, but something girly, because it is after all a PINK chainsaw. Maybe go for the obvious and call her Pinky?
Elvis-Anum: Mag-Lor goes on to talk about his fatherâs meeting with Borealis, of the Indignant People.
Borealis said, âYour jewels are beautiful, but what use are they? Here we need to be practical. We have no time for frivolity!â
Father replied, âBeauty is not frivolous, and there are uses for gemstones besides looking nice. I have used them to sharpen tools and weapons.â
Then Borealis said, âWe live on the land, not venturing far from our village. But in years past some of our number were seafarers. Legend has it that they used a magical crystal called the sunstone. My people and I have often wished we had such a thing to navigate on land and sea.â
Father replied, âPerhaps I can be of help. Do you have any stories about your seafaring family?â
Borealis said, âWe have no written language, but my son Australis is one of our storytellers. He can give you the history. And my daughter, his twin, Aurora, is a renowned artisan among our people.â
Then my brothers Amrod and Amrath, who are twins, had to ask. Amrod mentioned, âMy brother and I are identical. Are your children identical twins as well?â
My brothers are mighty warriors, but neither one is noted for his listening ability.
It is so cute when you take them off to bed and they are clutching their blankie, quacky-duckâŠor chainsaw. Then they grow up, and everything you say is wrong, or you just donât get it, or you get the eye roll. I imagine that behavior is natureâs way of making the parent want to kick the offspring out of the nest.
There is nothing wrong with Ora Zella that a few weeks/months/years couldnât solve in the psyche ward, or failing that, the juvenile detention center.
I googled âBabyâs First Chainsawâ and found that toy chainsaws actually exist, and look much like OZâs. They buzz, but donât cut. But if you want real action, they also have tiny chainsaws you can use in the kitchen to cut carrots for salad!
This is a bit unrelated, but the âshardsâ made me think of it: yesterday at supper my sister and I had just finished putting jam on our respective muffins, and she dropped the butterknife in the almost-empty jarâand it kept going, straight through the glass. Maybe there was a weak point in the glass? Or the physics were just right? In any case, it punched a hole but didnât shatter; I caught the butterknife reflexly, but it was actually caught inside by the thicker handle. I found a teeny glass shard on my plate, so my dad tossed that muffin & I got a new one. Better safe than sorry.

Miley Cyrus: Wrecking Ball
I have my chain saw by my side
I saw, never asking why
Dear Puck found me underneath the tree
A saw no one could deny!
âŠâŠ.
Iâll never say I walked away
From mayhem and chaos
Running through the house with my first chain saw
I will always want to!
âŠâŠ.
Iâll come through like a wrecking ball!
I will always want to!
I live for chaos running through the house!
All I want is to wreck things,
Yeah, I want to wreck things!

Right now, Imp is sleeping with one paw on my keyboard. I expect chaos to ensue if I try to move him.

I think Ora Zella might need a course in proper chainsaw safety.

I missed âbabysâ first chainsawâ label yesterday. It was too small and smashed together to see, even with the magnifying glass.

When all you have is a chainsaw, all your problems start looking like fragile mid-century heirlooms.
