Bets is Delirious. She’s not fooling anyone.. especially Dez!

I think Bets just needed to get her social media habit under control.. not having to stream every little thing.

If she did that and only streamed at appropriate times, it wouldn’t have been that big an issue.

The locust of her identity is totally external to her.

As we all suspected. This isn’t going to be as easy a transition for Bets as she might have thought.

It’s going to be interesting to compare this conversation between Bets and Dez to last weeks between Luann and Bernice.

Very interesting, indeed.

Creating, costumes, interacting…these are reasonable things for Bets to like and miss. They’re part of who she is. She just needs to find a way for it to be part but not all of her life. As far as we know, she and Gunther have never had a conversation about how much he’d like to be involved (if at all) in Bets’ social media. Maybe that’s what this is leading up to?

Bets seems abit over th top fake happy. Guess that’s what happns when you take a whole bottle of Prozac an chase it with a couple of Dammitol Extra Strength tablets

Never ask yourself if you are happy. That was a mistake many of us made in the 1970s. Take it one day at a time, move forward, and leave the past behind, Bets.

Social media is as addictive as booze, tobacco, and “recreational” drugs.

Who are you trying to convince here? Yeah, you’re trying your hardest to convince yourself you’re happier without Snapgram. You’ll have to choose between Gunther and social media. Your relationship with Gunther does not give you any revenue if he doesn’t want to continue with Bets’nGun. If you were to reinvent platform without Gunther, you’d have revenue, but will it cost you your relationship with Gunther? That’s the big question.

Yeah, Dez sees Bets is trying to convince herself she loves Gunther more than she loves being a Social Media star. And she’s failing. Any wonder we can abbreviate it SM"?

There actually are, in our universe, people who manage to have a social media presence—even one that generates some income—without having it take over their private lives and threaten their real-life personal relationships. If G&K try to depict Bets striking such a balance, though, they might find it challenging. I would expect that any time they showed Bets posting anything whatsoever to social media, there would be commenters here ready to assert with great confidence that she was clearly backsliding completely into her former state of obsession. And any time they showed her thinking about posting something and deciding not to, there would probably be some commenter ready to say that there wouldn’t be anything so bad about posting that particular thing and to complain about how Bets was depicted as kowtowing to the whims (or the imagined whims) of her male partner.

Bets can’t fool anyone. Dez has always been good at reading others. With Bets, who she knows since childhood, it must be even easier. It was clear that completely stopping posting on the media would lead to withdrawal symptoms, but what will Dez tell her? To stay strong or to talk to Gunther about it and see if they can start posting again, in moderation and following some rules? I hope for the second one, it was nice to see Gunther and Bets doing cosplay.

I used to spend a lot of time on the Countenance Publication, but quit in 2017, and have never regretted it. It only took me a few days to get used to.

Bets is desperately trying to convince herself that she’s “happy.”

But hey, it’s not easy breaking a “habit” good or bad, and going “cold turkey.”

Ah, but there’s a problem:

Bets is giving social media up to spend more time with Gunther, when Gunther didn’t ask her to. (Remember, Gunther grudgingly put up it with it) Social media is Bets ONLY outlet besides Gunther.

So what happens when Gunth is too “busy” to spend time with Bets? Will Bets take up another hobby?

I can’t see Bets taking up skydiving. But I’ll wager that if she DID, SHE would have the Guts to Jump. :-)

Bets is addicted and needs help.

Bets, you loved the wild costumes and the mobs of fans and rude as it was at times it wasn’t ruining anything until (of course) it ruined you.

Let’s talk about how underutilized Dez is. Once again she is reduced to the peacemaker role. I think she will get Bets and Gun to compromise on web activity. After all, Gunther did love the costumes and cosplay. But I’d love a Dez storyline.

Don’t lie Bets. You can be committed to a path that will be for your betterment and not be happy about it at the start. Just don’t lie and bury it. You have to work through it all or you’ll stay stuck and end up going right back to what you’re trying to leave behind.

Bets is NOT done with social media. That would be too easy.

No, I’d say she’s trying too hard as it is.

I often wonder if Bets made money off her social media or if it was just for fun and attention.

It looks like the only reason she had a relationship with Gun was for her post. No post, no Gun.

Narcissist….

Dez is patient. Seems Bets is feeling she gave up the excitement for Gunther, but may be bored now. Especially when Gunther hasn’t shown up as usual. If she went to class, maybe she’d be less bored. Could be Gunther is also bored and may show up in costume?

Happy? She looks downright maniacal!

And where IS Gun, anyway?

It feels like the same punchline is being repeated every day this week.

So she wasn’t a paid influencer after all? She’s on the outs with her family so I wonder where her money is coming from?

Some happiness is bound to be lost.

Bets should take some theater classes. She’s a natural costume/set designer.
