The “No mansplaining night” is tomorrow.

Every lady can relate to that!

Who? Me?!! Mansplain?? Never!!

Why does he have to ’splain it?

Did you hear about the mansplainer who drowned in a cistern? He drowned in a well, actually…

Frankly, I find woman-splaining to be much more incomprehensible!!!

Why would anyone not want to fully understand something?

(The following is definitely not to be taken seriously.)

See, the reason this is funny is that mansplaining is so offensive to women they would rather be referred to as, oh I don’t know, chicks, babes, women, than being mansplained to. Did I get that right, ladies?

Now I feel like sending this to some friends explaining the joke.

“Luceeee! You got some ‘splainin’ to do!”

No manspreading either, they have limited barstools

On No Mansplaining Nite, the pub will be renamed The She Shed, and men will have to stand in a slow-moving line when they need to use the restroom which has no urinal.

See, it’s funny because…

Women, of course, never explain things unnecessarily.

So, then, they’ll discuss . . . ?

The Cave Inn Pub is very popular with Liberal mushrooms where they are fed their favorite meal and eat up every bit of it while discussing Climate Change and the joys of Bidenomics. nom nom nom

What the ladies want is an all male semi-nude dance show.

Allow me to explain what “mansplainng” is, and why some might want to avoid it…

“Cave Inn Pub,” for ladies, and for men, “Pub in Cave.”

Seriously, not all men practice mansplaining and those who do may not realize how annoying it is since we ladies are too polite to boop their noses like an off-button.

I remember reading a study contrasting the verbal utterances of boys with girls. I was surprised that the boys used more words in conversation but not surprised that the girls used higher level vocabulary words.

This has been one of the more fun comments section…

I don’t think mansplainers limit their wisdom to women, they’ll spout off to anybody who won’t walk away.

I’m in. I don’t need any mansplaining.

As Eartha Kit might say “Perrrrrrfect”.

“Condescending” was a perfectly good word. We didn’t need another one. As a man, I think I can make that clear. :)

Of course then we’ll have nothing to talk about.,

But, the house is packed for “Manspreading Nite”!

Okay, after reading the comments, let’s take the gender out of it and call it Over’spaining. As I get older and look older I have noticed an uptick in having… stuff, over explained by both men and women and I am not one that puts out a vibe of helpless or ignorant. But gray hair (I Iove the silver!) seems to be all some folks see and for some reason these people assume years of experience and living make a person less informed rather than more.

The terms Man’splaining and Woman’splaining, calling someone a Karen or Bubba make me want to pound something. Time to go make some bread or did a hole in the clay soil with a pick and plant a tree.

What other way is there to pick up women?

Don’t have to “mansplain” if she’d do it right the first time…

How about a no ‘splaining night period. Unless someone explicitly and specifically asks you about something, just don’t explain ANYTHING. No matter what gender you are.

Why is this sexist term tolerated by anyone ?!?!

I think a lot of man splaning is meant well, thinking women simply have not experienced something, just trying to help. Not all, but a lot of it. I didn’t say it was smart or right, but most of us (men) can be pretty dim.

Truth in advertising.

You see, it’s because some men have a tendency to give detailed highly redundant explanations of trivial things that people know already.

The evenings are remarkably quiet.

Sometimes it’s not the insulting assumption that you know less than the ‘splainer, but the flattering (and self-flattering) assumption that you care about the topic and want to hear more about it…even if you haven’t shown interest or asked any questions, several minutes in.

I’ve noticed that one of the worst cases of mansplaining is when it’s between men. The implication, on behalf of the pontificator, is that the other person is a fledgling, a tyro, a beginner, no matter how old he is,who came down in the last shower and wouldn’t know how to run his life, unless it’s explained to him by the mansplainer. Who, by the way, doesn’t want a conversation, just wants to let you know that whatever you’re doing is WRONG! “You’re going to DRIVE!? It’s only a hundred meters.” No, it’s more like half a kilometer (500 meters – we’re into base 10, down here), and I’ll need the car when I get there. And, anyway, why do I need to explain ANYTHING TO HIM, AT ALL?? I certainly understand why it rankles so much with women …

The Bar I worked in, the “Ladies” complained that we still let Men in.

They said it was really “Ladies Night” if they still got Hit On.
