This isn’t the first time Lucy had a problem with a small piece of water. Is this a repeat?

Should have waited just a tad longer to jump in.

Nah.

The frog was trying to catch a horsefly.

Ok, so that’s how you get a horse in a tree…

People who see todays strip in newspapers are not going to get the set up for the gag because they usually don’t print the first panel of any Sunday strip like the 2 papers I get didn’t print the first panel. Where the frog hopped into the pool and Danae says “this should be fun”

Never had to worry about frogs in the kiddie pool. No frogs. No kiddie pool.

Danea’s pool HAS to share some sort of metaphysical link with Lio’s.

It’s strange how people can have such strong phobias regarding small animals. I knew a lady who was freaked out by small birds! She was even bothered by a drawing of a sparrow.

It’s the funny pages folks, don’t dissect, just enjoy.

Clearly, Wiley Miller knows horses. Many times I have found myself dumped because my horse decided something small, and, to me, harmless, sent her into a panic attack. Oh no! a horse eating killdeer! fill in with your favorite small thing.

Over imagined the frog!

Anybody who has had a horse can relate to Lucy’s reaction. Being a prey animal, they react first and assess later.

Memories of working summers as a lifeguard and cleaning out dead frogs, etc. from pool skimmers.

Just drop a few “road apples” on Danae’s head.

Mini-horses be afraid of Froggies.

Another stupid episode; not Danae at her best.

Now we have all seen a horse fly.

The frog thought Lucy was a horse-fly.

To paraphrase Hank Hill… that horse ain’t right.

So Lucy is part horsefly?

So, amazingly, Danae told the truth – there really WAS nothing to be afraid of.

Who knew Lucy could fly.
