Looks like a new character has come into the Doonesbury “family”. Maybe now, Jeff will finally grow up and take responsibility for his own life!

If Trudeau is introducing a new (though minor) character, maybe those scary recent toons hinting at his upcoming retirement weren’t as dire as we thought they were…..By the bleedin’ way, have Jeff and Zonker (not his nephew!) ever appeared together?

You know, I find it odd the what would be an otherwise historical event, the attempted assassination of an ex-president, is mostly just, meh. It would normally be great fodder for all in the social media, especially someone so up to date as Gary. But, for that guy, nothing.

When was the last time we saw Jeff without his sunglasses on? It would not surprise me if this is the first time we’ve seen his “adult eyes”…

If Jeff was from Pakistan he’d probably have some body hair. But maybe his face isn’t the only thing he shaves…

I love how Jeff’s eyes reverted from “adult” to “childlike” in the last two frames.
