I’m picturing the beginning of the old TV show “The Incredible Hulk,” where the word “Anger” becomes the word “Danger.”

At T University, they teach that if somebody calls you a liar, double down on the lie. If that fails, get angry and accuse them of doing the same thing.

What’s funny about it? I checked my court order and it says “anger management.” It doesn’t say anything about suppressing it… And I’m doing great! 5 points above inflation! :D

For starters, avoid reading right-wing populist editorial cartoonists. Let me know if you need names.

Anger is a 2nd emotion – try lessening whatever comes first. (in a lot of cases, it would be accepting the idea that matters of opinion (not fact) have no “right” answer)

Alternative facts have made logical discourse impossible. It is possible to reason from accepted facts and at least consider each other’s viewpoint and possibly make some progress toward uniting our country. But, the right wing media has been presenting a twisted view of reality, designed to benefit the rich who own news outlets, for about 40 years now. If you think you can reason with someone who was raised on Rush Limbaugh, then Faux news etc. you are as delusional as they are. And, in the last five years or so, the truth can’t even be twisted enough to suit their purposes, which is not a problem because their brainwashing has resulted in a number of people who will believe them when they tell out right lies.

The older you get, the easier it is to cut back on the anger and other harsh emotions if for no other reason than they take too much energy. Sadly, the characters here don’t age.
