Brad should try to recall if TJ has ever given him good advice. Because he hasn’t ever given you good advice. And why is Brad so wrapped up in this “free t-shirt” when he has already bought Toni her Christmas gift. He has hasn’t he. Or is this week’s story so screwed up that Brad has not done the one thing any newlywed does — bought Toni her gift. I almost feel like this week has been outsourced to some other comics writer, maybe the writer of Andy Capp.

Brad, maybe you should stick with doing the laundry—I’m sure that would make Toni much happier! ;-)

This is a pretty lame pre-Christmas arc.

Toni’d prolly love a good set of wool drop seat long johns. Wool is naturally flame resistant an offers a greater level of fire safety than other fibers so that’s a good thing. You’ll be her hero Brad

Hey, if the T-Shirt is wet and Toni’s wearing it who cares what colour it is.

It’s just a Husbands are Dorks episode using T.J. as the mouthpiece. And one of the consistent themes of Luann appears to be having poor friends. This is no different from Luann and Bernice, with the supposed friend being snidely insulting while Brad passively-aggressively tolerates it.

My guy may be colorblind?

Brad has always been the one way into toni. No way he’s turned into the bumbling husband.

“My Guy’s Best Friend Is A Dope”.

Brad’s right. It’s not about the color, it’s about the message. But knowing TJ, he is trying to manipulate Brad into buying this particular color. And if he relents, he’ll find out she actually*hates* the color.

“Kiss a First Responder” ⛑️ would be a good message.

Could be Toni said this in confidentiality to TJ and now surfacing in this debate.

It’s Friday, We have an arc centered on the going-on at the New DeGroot household, but amazingly Jonah hasn’t shown up to unceremoniously dump the kid on them. Yet.

Will next week focus on the college kids Christmas?

Or will We just hear about the “fun” stuff they did during the holidays come January? ;-)

Unfortunately TJ is right. That trait is not unique, in fact it’s one of the most popular ones. I hope both Brad and TJ are wrong and Toni’s favorite color is one they didn’t mention, that would be fun.

I’m starting to think that TJ likes to insult Brad at his expense.

Ugh, this storyarc is really doing a disservice to Brad.

Is TJ a homosexual or am I misinterpreting this conversation?

I’m betting the t-shirt will say, “Baby on board.”

I’m getting “Bernice” vibes from TJ. And it’s making him less likable.

Aw, lots of swell guys and good husbands don’t know all sorts of things about their wives — there are more important things in a relationship than knowing details like that.

TJ seems like a pretty good catch, no matter what his orientation. He has a steady job, he is a great cook, and he notices things about people. He goes to work every day and he has not done anything shady in years. He has a sense of humor and is a good listener.

TJ is talking about what words to put on Toni’s T-shirt. “My guy doesn’t know my favorite color” would be what Toni thinks about her husband. Pretty obvious to me.

I think it’s been a fun arc. I like to see TJ, although Brad does need to reflect on the general value of TJ’s advice in the past (ie: low, very low). I’m sure this is not Toni’s primary gift. This is an additional, inexpensive gift that he heard about and thinks she’d like. And he’s right. Toni seems like the type to like a fun tee shirt. And she doesn’t seem like the type to get fussy about, or possibly even really have, a favorite color. Are they grade schoolers, sitting around talking about stuff like that? Clearly not.

Hard to believe a new small business would have such a large inventory of different colors in all sizes.

How about black with lilac letters? I love periwinkle but I don’t want all of my clothes to be periwinkle, I also love orange and green… I can’t settle on a favorite, and TJ is full of himself

Toni will say, “It doesn’t matter what color it is, as long as it came from you!”

Brad, may I suggest ditching the T-shirt idea?
