I’m still trying to understand the first panel. “Odds are they are things you dislike about yourself?” Doesn’t that mean you don’t like having other people around, therefore you shouldn’t criticize them?

I think he means “Odds are there’re things you dislike about yourself,” not “they’re.”

Being intolerant of a concept is marginally acceptable. Being intolerant of a person is not … unless, of course, we are being intolerant of Donald Trump or the MAGAteers. And that’s not so much being intolerant of the people involved as it is that we are being intolerant of the concept of those people continuing to exist and hold positions of power.
