So.. still don’t think the poem is about Phil?? =)

This is what you get when you try to write poetry on your phone. The autocorrect is forever replacing your words with something else.

Okay, at this point, it looks like Luann has something to hide. Hmm.

Her backward glance in the last panel seems pretty incriminating, but by refusing to show her work until it’s ready, Luann proves she’s a REAL poet!

Finding glove? Is she thinking of studying to be a proctologist?

Is Phil going to be the ONE?

Community (junior) colleges are two-year institutions. Most students then transfer to four-year colleges for the last two years. Isn’t it time for Luann to move forward like that?

Exackly when did Luann write this poem? Could it’ve been before she met him when she was in Mrs. Horner’s class an Mrs. Horner kept it all this time? Any one really know?

Bundle of insecurities and still doesn’t know what she wants to do with herself. Sadly, LuAnn hasn’t grown much since jr. high.

Yea though I put my words to the page,I hope some will find them the rage.Some of my thought that I attempt to express,Deal with those things that we need to address.Some of them trifle and some way to deep,Give thought of some action and not put to sleep.But with thought expressed openly but with a slight bend,Even the poet should know that the focus of others will end.

I believe this foreshadows romance between Phil & Luann, and they seem perfect for eachother.

That clever Mrs. Horner had figured it out by reading the poem and now even Phil has no more doubts. Luann was busted, she likes Phil! I like how the two of them are smiling and Luann is very cute in her attempts to keep Phil from reading. I hope Luann and Phil will have a talk about this poem, without embarrassment.

Guess Luann is getting some cold feet.

Sounds VERY much like a first draft of one of my books. Fine. I’m going into therapy for that one of these days. Only, with my luck, I’d probably go to thearpy.

When did Mrs. Horner become such a buttinski?

That poor Luann. If she’s interested in Phil, she’d do better for that relationship to let him read her poetry than to hide all the parts of herself she thinks are imperfect.

If the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit

Hmmm… Anything Freudian about a hand in a glove? I wonder… Hmmm… Oh, a dirty mind is a terrible thing to waste!

Get a grip, Luann! Let him read the poem. Unless you mention Phil by name he may never make the connection that it’s about him. And if he does—-he just might return your feelings. At the very least he will be flattered.

Mrs. Horner is a sly woman # matchmaker

Other than the misdirection play, and the tendency of Luann self-sabotaging herself, ironically about what she is as least as insecure about, her future career, or lack thereof, when its pretty obvious, helping and education is definitely a goal she should confidently pursue. It’s also clear, to this story-follower anyway, that a relationship is being teased between Phil and Lu, and here, after this long Luannfan sentence (lol) one between two care givers. That was the problem with Luann’s prior serious romantic interests, they were self-absorbed, and Quill was into something, acting, that Lu liked too, but he was drawn as someone who put his needs in front of Lu’s needs, and she is quite needy. Viola! Along comes Phil, a caregiver, one who I think wants to be, and is probably going to be drawn taking nursing training. Future? Teacher and nurse. Could happen. If it does Karen, your dad’s legacy Luann followers are dying off, so hurry it up a little (lol).

Why would she offer a poem for the Sweet HeARTS show that might be heard by the subject of the poem?

Luann made a big mistake when she gave Mrs. Horner that poem…but maybe, she kind of wanted her to show it to Phil? Those cats, when they get out of the bag it’s just chaos!

These two won’t get together until Luann ends up in the hospital with Phil taking care of her

Wow, Luann must really like him! The way she’s embarrassing herself by trying not to embarrass herself.

Yet another example of our beloved characters sabotaging their love lives. Who would have thought Brad would be the only one to get it right?

Luann’s hiding that poem like Musk is hiding the real truth of his destruction of our government.

I’m guessing Luann doesn’t want Phil to read it.

You know, he might be flattered — and interested — once he knows she’s interested.

Hang on. Aren’t they at the university? I get not changing clothes if you just left work but why is Phil wearing gloves??
