I think it’s safe to assume that, no matter what happens, TJ and Ox are actually fraternal twins separated at birth. The reason we all assume that TJ is older is because TJ inherited the “college brain” (but was never motivated to put it to use in an academic setting), while Ox got the brawn and was held back.

Yay, Ox! It wasn’t that he was too clever for Ann; it was just that he was too dumb to fool. I’m so glad he managed to see right through her!

Oooh boy. OX has the dual advantage of being hard to fool and a natural at intimidation. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.

I’d like to see TJ call Toni and have her bring in the big, bad bully Shannon while Ox is there.

Unless I’m mistaken, Ox is the first character that AE has encountered that has a clear advantage over her. Bernice worked for her at the bookstore, so did Zane. She had influence over Toni to some degree because she employed Brad. There is an uneasy truce with TJ, but there is no clear victor there. Ox is simply her best customer. She has already mishandled him, only to be saved by TJ. But now Ox’ rose-colored glasses are gone. Obviously, now AE has lost over $150/day in food sales, and the ball is in Ox’ court. My only question is how far Greg will allow Ox to go with this. I keep reminding myself that AE is an adult (at least in terms of age) and Ox is a high-schooler.

Re Ann’s blouse – deinitely a color shift in place – just checked the submitted files and the color is supposed to be the same from last week. WIll bring this up. Not just the blouse, either. Good eye. No way should her blouse and Ox’s jersey be that close in hue.

Ox is a very great addition to the strip. If Gunth is Robin Hood, Ox is Little John…or Friar Tuck.

But Gunther was defending Rosa and Shannon was defending herself.

I hope he walks out of WW and takes his $$ elsewhere. I keep hoping Elwood shows up to let AE know he owns the joint snd tosses her out on her rear, then promotes TJ to general manager.

Nowhere does Ox state or suggest that he is or will be defending Shannon. .He quite clearly stated “does not know a Shannon” and “has not seen any finger biting”.ie – he is refusing to sign anything about anything or anybody that he knows nothing about..Ox also understands verbal bullying.

And finally….. I still believe Ox is hearing impaired and because of his size has always been assumed to be slow. The problems he had in understanding Gunther relate more to someone with a hearing problem. Just ask your grandparents a question in a noisy room. See what words give them problems.

I don’t accept the stereotyping that has been done on this board. Ox has admitted to being less than skilled at Algebra, but in no way does that mean he is not sharp. Albert Einstien also admitted that he had poor skills in Algebra.

That “Einstein couldn’t do math” and the ever popular “Einstein didn’t speak until he was 4” crap was extrapolated from the fact that he was born with a rather large and misshapen head. Doctors were looking for mental impairment, and the fact that he spoke slowly until about age 9 was the source of both rumors. .People now want to claim he was autistic because of the not-speaking-until-he-was-4 thing – which is, again, totally undocumented.

Again, benefit of the doubt. Look at the poster’s comments on other boards – if he’s trolling, it’s on FBOFW.

I always wondered if Einstein, with that large head, might’ve been a forceps delivery – which could have accounted for the misshapen aspect. Brad, on the other hand, is just a potato head. WIth weird hair – like, um…well, somebody here. .I’m laughing in sympathy because it seems you couldn’t catch a break with your teacher, but even though you didn’t get a better letter grade, you sure came away with some interesting knowledge you obviously never forgot.
