Ah. What we have here are two different marketing/branding approaches to celebrities

The best friend type where they are fun and relatable so people can “get to know them”. Treating fans as friends so they feel like they have a personal connection to the celeb.

The unattainable/fantasy type. Selling yourself as this cool person who has it all. Making people think “oh wow she is exactly what I wish I was.” Making them want to be you.

These brands make perfect sense for them. Bets as the fun, geeky girl who’s quirky and relatable. Tiff as the gorgeous super model who everyone wants to be. For Tiff, its second nature.

Bets was bowled over.

Bets, open your mind to different methods. You might be wowed ;)

I think I must have missed the Tiffany back story. I knew she was dependent on her dad, but have we ever heard what happened to her mom?

Perhaps there is less crime in the USA but what Tiffany is doing is sending out an open invitation to all the criminals for miles around. I have a feeling that Tiffany’s father will feel the same way.

I hope Tom Farrel’s business is keeping pace with his tastes because this mansion needs a staff. Inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs, kitchen, security, and I don’t know what all. And, by the way, Tiff is looking good, she could show a bit more cleavage, but still looking good.

Another great use of social media – advertising living alone in a large house. Naw – burglars, other criminals, assorted pervs, other students who will think this a great party site NEVER see these videos.

And be sure to show would be crooks where the jewelry and hidden safe is located, Tiff.

I’ve never watched any social media stuff. I have no idea what it takes to entertain viewers. So how I can’t imagine any of this — not Bets live-streaming or Tiffany tour of an ordinary, slightly-rich mansion. This story seems as uninspired as Bernice’s muse thing. So I’m going to bed, pulling the sheets over my head and may not get up for a week or two.

See this is why many of us don’t like Betts. She often dosen’t get people due some privacy, constnatly thrusting her life into the internet wether Gunth’s comfortable or not and you know bringing up someone’s complicated and tense parent situation.

It’s also tone deaf for influcing. It’s not something I know well but Tiff can simply show off her mansion and nice things or what she does every day without revealing private details about her mom. Just because your on 24/7 bets dosen’t mean everyone else wants their private crap online.

Oh, yeah, I’m sure your Dad will just love you showing the world how the mansion is laid out and where all the points of entry are.

As an “actress”, Tiffany needs a script. She doesn’t seem so good at adlibbing.

The persona should be about Tiff the person, not her physical home. Yes, this is a mistake. She might get a ‘following’ but not the kind she wants. Bets, who now lives there, should be concerned and maybe she will say something besides ‘whatev’. She hasn’t posted it yet.

Bets will probably own this mansion ( or one like it) in the not too distant the future.

This is a new Tiffany. The old Tiffany would have stampeded over her granny to get to a camera.

Tiff’s gonna get robbed.

With all the comments about the possibility of the Mansion being robbed, it kind of reminds me of the plot from the movie, “How to Steal a Million”. So, if the Mansion is burglarized, would Tiffany become enamored of the robber?

This suspense is fantastic! It’s like watching a train heading toward a bridge – but the bridge is out. We all know it’s just a matter of time before A. Tom Ferrell gets wind of all this and puts his foot down, B. Thieves ransack the mansion, C. The Building and Zoning Officer knocks on the door. Love it!

This is one of the rare times GnK has reminded readers that Tiffany grew up without a mom. I wonder where Tiffany got her sense of style then? Tiff also had an absent but doting dad that has played a major role in the strip. Shannon also has an often mentioned absent father.

Greg has more often mentioned that Gunther grew up without a dad. But with an often depicted, smothering mother. Les was much the same but with an evil mother. Bernice seems to have been raised with a complete set of parents but they too are rarely depicted or mentioned.

Luann seems to have been the only character that has the idyllic set; i.e., two parents and an opposite sex sibling.

Not for the first time I’m wondering why Tiffany’s father sent her to what sounds like a fairly mediocre public school (Pitts Junior and Senior highs) instead of to some chi chi private academy.

Honestly I’m surprised Tiff has to be taught this stuff. She was a hot narcissistic teen who grew up with social media,
