We took our grandchildren to a splash pad in Atmore, Alabama yesterday, then the above ground pool behind the house. then down to the Escambia River to admire and the Bluff Springs gravel lakes. (no gators seen this time)

Regardless, Shannon is being blown off by people with other things to do but keeps a cheerful outlook.

Poor Shannon. She just wants to talk or play with someone.

Shannon could do what we did as kids and learn to entertain herself…just a thought…

This is Toni’s fault. Enabling Jonah and then expecting everyone else to pay the price. Brad is her husband so she is not out of line by ASKING him if he can help, but it is not Luann’s job, certainly not Luann’s parents.

As some posted on Arcamax – casting call, doctor appointment, firefighting duty on-call, working on bills to be paid, busy with her social media, can Frank fill the kiddy pool for her. My take also.

“anytime he is given the choice to be with Shannon or to leave her.. he chooses to leave her”. Do we actually know this? I think we only know of the times he leaves her with Toni. We don’t know of other good choices he makes. (Possibly because these aren’t real people; their only reality is what we see on this page.)

I can’t say if this is incredibly sad for Shannon or if the last panel means that she found Frank’s company and they will play together.

For as much time as she spends there, are there no other kids that live in LuAnn’s neighborhood? To me, that’s kind of the real crime; she should be with some kids her own age, not as some sort of “mini me”, only with adults all the time.

Its so fun to watch the high and mighty among us judge a fictional character based on fictional response to FICTIONAL situation. We are all literally Luann here. On a device, on social media judging the world while there is something more important to do.

For better or worse, Shannon has become part of Luann’s family. My grandchildren and I share no biological link but I spend as much time with them as I can. That’s part of being a family.

So I guess this finally settles the question, does Shannon live with Bread and Toni? No, she still lives with her bum-assed father. But she’s at Brad and Toni’s house so much, they had to build her a bedroom.

Toni who is Shannon Aunt acts like her mother and were is Shannon dead beat dad. Why not let Toni and Brad legally adopt her.

The “Shannon Issue” today falls directly on Toni. She knew she had training or whatever that symbol with her in a nurse cap indicates, she also would have known that Brad had to work, so when she let her brother drop off Shannon she knew that she wasn’t going to be able to watch her.

Poor kid. I actually feel a little sorry for her.

I’m going take an unpopular stand here. A lot of bashing going on here, but if the naysayers would take a step back I believe they would realize that everyone with maybe the exception of her father, love Shannon and do a darn good job of caring for her and nurturing her.
