YAY! A Toni + Brad Valentine’s Arc! This should be good!

On a side note.. What an awesome Superbowl! The Eagles were amazing.. but the half time show sucked. lol

Obviously he used baking powder instead of baking soda. Then again why would anyone bake a cake from scratch when box mixes are so easy and it’s the thought not the skill that counts.

Why is the cake jet black? It looks burned.

TJ looks relaxed and calm after an employee issue at work….wonder if Tiff still has her job??

Poor Brad. He’s no Duff Goldman…

So Toni gets the cake? Don’t know why, she treats Brad the way the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, treats Prince Harry.

Brad seems to have a real PROBLEM when it comes to obtaining “gifts.” ;-)

Do cakes collapse? Also, he’s got four days left to keep trying!

It collapsed beneath the weight of all of those compliments.

Culinary lessons for Brad this week.

Too much leavening and rising agent; beating too much air into the batter than the baked structure can hold.

YAY! Valentine’s day arc! Unfortunately sometimes cakes collapse even when you make a recipe you’ve made a hundred times without a problem. Brad is really sweet in wanting to make a cake for her beloved Toni, I don’t think it would be bad if TJ supervised him while he made another one.

A guy who doesn’t cook wouldn’t do that.

Well, the halftime show wasn’t aimed at our demographics. And I suspect going forward not many of them will be. If you like that genre of music I imagine it was a great halftime show.

Brad, it’s great that you want to give Toni a special treat for Valentine’s Day. But, maybe you’d better leave the baking to TJ, until you’ve had a couple of lessons from the TJ school of cooking.

Brad, maybe you should try something more simple.

He’s gonna pressure her into having kids again, isn’t he? That’s basically all he does when Shannon’s not around.

Agreed. Of course, they could try something different, like doing a strip a couple days from now with a reference to Tiffany and Ox, or even do one per day with a different couple in each.

Sometimes looks can be deceiving. Some food looks better than it tastes. The corollary is that somewhat less appealing food tastes much better than it looks. The most important thing is that it’s the thought of that labor of love you put into it is what matters the most!

The time to learn to bake a cake to impress your girl is not when you know nothing about baking a cake and are trying to do so for the very first time…..

Poor Toni. Oh well, I’m sure that by now she’s used to Brad being kind of lame on gifting. If TJ ends up cooking her Valentine cake she’ll know. Must be nice to have two husbands – one who is interested in women, and one who isn’t. Perfect!

Isn’t Valentine’s Day a two-way affair? How about Toni cooks a pie while Brad cleans the bathroom and TJ packs his bags and gets out of their hair. As if they need him to afford a place to live.

That’s what your local ice cream shops are for.

Funny, I guess we’re in for more of Brad the clueless huh ? ;-)

Sadly, a Brad & Toni “love” arc to celebrate Valentine’s day. I was hoping to keep up the story with Tiffany and Ox. Oh well, at least I have been reminded of the impeding Valentine’s Day… otherwise I might have gotten into trouble this Friday. :)

Yeah, it collapsed under the weight of redundancy.

This was a rather abrupt motion for the arc week, with a fraught level in the action. possibly between poor, put upon Ox, getting over his shyness, to express his unrequited love for Tiffany, who might (not) rise to the occasion, by acknowledging it in a non-selfish, adult way. Instead, Toni and Brad, with doofus Brad 2.0 expressing in a goofy way his love for his babe wife, with witticisms ala TJ. Which is a better Valentine story?

Now – Too many expletives!

Brad you have two options either buy a store made cake or ask TJ.

Why is TJ living with them? Two firefighters make a good wage.

Brad, solution is simple— cake will be dense and moist so just add height by doubling amount of fluffy frosting. She’ll love it.

Can’t Brad go pick out a nice piece of jewelry or a favorite perfume for Toni? Where are the flowers?? His plan was to give her a CAKE????

Brad still has TJ as his security blanket and Luann still has Bernice as her confessor/analyst. Will the DeGroot children ever grow up? And, can you really bake a cake in a microwave, I thought that you had to use an oven? And, says the man who is not welcome in his wife’s kitchen, if that is a microwave and that is a metal pan that Brad is holding, wouldn’t there be some kind of explosion in the microwave?
