This is the “Universe is a simulation” hypothesis, which is a secular idea that is logically indistinguishable from religion.

I am reading an article in this month’s Scientific American on black holes and how the universe itself can be described mathematically as a two-dimensional hologram.

Of course, we are talking quantum physics here where common sense ain’t.

When I run into somebody who says there was no Moon Landing, I argue that there’s no Moon. The only sensible response to the crazy is to get more crazy.

This is actually very deep. Consider if this were your reality. Wouldn’t you prefer it was a hoax rather than an inescapable socioeconomic condition? I’m just saying.

True it is a synthetic environment because we have all the weird stuff happening from cryptids to flying things to monsters and ‘aliens’ and the occasional frozen bird or aircraft in flight too.
