Sadly, at my age pizza doesn’t agree with me anymore. Especially pepperoni. Not to mention the sodium content. Might as well eat salt straight from the shaker. Don’t want another heart attack.
Yeah, about the goal-setting… after I received my performance rating recently, having worked my bee-hind off on a job nobody else wanted to, or could do, and without which there would have been grave consequences for the company, and yet getting rated way below average, I done setting goals, at least professionally. When your evaluation of goal-reaching depends on others, you’re at their mercy and it doesn’t matter whether you outperform or stink. I’m with Pig on this one.
I guarantee neighbor Jim is miserable and probably makes others around him miserable, too. Emphasis on goals is the key to failure and disappointment in oneself. In any case, life is what happens when you’re making other plans. Learn to go with the flow and follow your bliss along the line of least resistance.

In the German version of this, Pig’s dog is called schweinhund. Guessing they’ll need to change that.

For a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling, may I recommend the short story A Boy and his Dog by Harlan Ellison?
Well maybe not so nice, warm, and fuzzy feeling. And skip the movie entirely — no-one in Hollywood understood the idea.
