I would volunteer as the campaign manager for TFG in the fake golfer category, but I can’t stand to see his name anymore, which would make it a bit difficult… Call this a vote for “He whose name need no longer be spoken”?
Such a buffet to choose from this year! Antonio Brown is worthy, but he’s edged out by Urban Meyer. That said, I’m casting my vote for Brian Kelly, because only a royal class jerk would leave his team the way he did.
Urban Meyer. He had a bigger negative impact on more people in the organization and fan base. Brown showed who he always was, I put that on Tampa Bay for another enabling episode.
Aaron Rodgers and Novak Djokovic. I do so in fond memory of my late cousin who contracted Polio as an infant before the Salk Vaccine was invented and died of COVID-19 in a nursing home before the three wonderful COVID-19 vaccines were invented. He did not have the luck that we now enjoy.
wish they had an email address or maybe a webpage you could vote on. I’m not a participant of those social media things. Oh well. Fun to find out who they elect, anyway.
I vote for Drew Magary. I was even rooting for Rothlisberger to lose to the Chiefs. But Magary’s column went the lowest I’ve ever seen. Totally a SJOY candidate.
Technically Antonio Brown and Djokovic were 2022, though both have a history of jerkiness. But for 2021, it has to be Aaron Rodgers, who has been a Jerk of the Month consistently thru the year.
I’ve lived in Wisconsin almost my entire life and have a Packers fan (and stockholder) even when they absolutely sucked back in the 70s and people literally gave away their tickets for games in Milwaukee and Green Bay. And as much as I hate to do it, I gotta’ go with Aaron Rodgers. Just retired from hospital healthcare. Him being the poster boy for legions of unvaccinated idiots is just too much to bear. No hall pass here.
As much as I hate to do this, Aaron Rodgers has my vote. He has always been one of my favorite QBs but he has become such a jerk. I still respect his skill as a QB but I do not respect him as a person.
Kinda surprised John Gruden didn’t get more mentions. Or Dan Snyder but then again, he’s rather old hat, could be nominated any and every year. Surprise contender Malik McDowell is rather a dark horse with too small a body of work, but deserves mention anyhow. Any and all unvaccinated athletes qualify, but special mention has to go to Aaron Rodgers and Kyrie Irving.
I was torn between Urban Meyer and Novak Djokovic. I give Joker the edge because he clearly didn’t care if someone caught a virus he might be carrying and died. There’s stupidity and then there’s potentially terminal stupidity.
It’s really hard to choose, because there are so many. However, I do appreciate being given the opportunity to vote in the comments section since I don’t have any social media accounts.
The 3 big-name anti-vaxxers get my vote. It would be extremely fitting if Novak doesn’t get his record-breaking 22nd major because no one lets him play as long as he’s unvaxxed. Kyrie is going to cost his team an NBA Championship, which is perfect since he’s one of the most selfish jerks in all of sports. And as they’ve stated this week, Rodgers is going to start getting tested again soon and will miss any playoff game if he tests positive again.
Roger Goodell for burying the report on the Washington football team under the guise of “protecting” the courageous women who came forward and who have said that they want the facts made known.
I vote for Aaron Rogers, Kyrie Irving and Novak Djokovic. They should be quaratined together and “exposed” to common sense. Hopefully all three will be infected.
My sleeper pick is Dana White, head of UFC. Joe Rogan might also be in the mix as well. I know that he (Rogan) is a “celebrity,” but he and White are bedmates when it comes to COVID related opinions.
I wish it was less open ended, or maybe narrowed down after a week. So many votes for Antonio Brown and Jokovic, but it seems like their biggest jerkness was technically in 2022. Seems like wasted votes to me.
So many choices. Too many. Can we vote for an entire sport, like MLB?? Or a category, like Sports Commissioners? How about fans, like the Cowboys’ fans? How about a hybrid – U. Mich and its medical staff? How about officials who control game endings?
Antonio Brown, he has place him self above his last 3 teams, a true hollier than thou primadonna.Aaron Roger’s,for lieing to every one,his team mates, about his vacination status, then try to justifing it! Kyrie Irving for, well you know the story, total team let down with attitude. All 3 rate tie for #1- ,you can place them,1 ,2, or 3.
It was hard to decide between Rodgers and Novak Djokovic because of their actions regarding COVID. In the end, I am going with Rodgers. Djokovic may not have been a saint in this regard, but his situation was not wholly of his own doing. Rodgers, on the other hand, CONSCIOUSLY knew he was misleading everyone. Furthermore, while Rodgers performance over the years has been solid, he simply has not been able to convert that into victories at the end of the playoff (yesterday’s loss to the 49s being case and point.).
