Planet 6 sounds like the futuristic theme park made by Motel 6. Sounds like a smashing success.

Should have snookered it a la Lister on Red Dwarf.

I think Calvin is cruising for 11 kinds of trouble.

Seeing that Saturn is 9 times larger than the earth with mostly gases and a solid core, Spiff would need a much longer rope..

I didn’t think Spiff’s ship was that strong. And the occupants of each world would see him as Darth Vader or worse.

If this were Winter, I’d say this depicts a snowball approaching Suzie Durkins head. Since it’s summer, or at least fall, it could be a baseball approaching a pumpkin/Hobbes/a window/Mrs Wormwood/Moe/or Susie Durkins head.

The context of a collision of planets would suggest “hurtling”, but since this is Calvin, “hurling” creates a picture of a horrible mess. Perfect.

GWA?! How powerful is Spiff’s spaceship?!

I’m sure Calvin just performed two things today that no astronaut has ever thought of before. I mean, who would have ever thought to bring an anchor with a looooong rope attached to space with them? Its probable intended use was to resolve the excessive speed issue of space ship re-entry as discussed previously.

And then why haven’t we ever thought of downshifting in a rocket to get more power? Goodness, we’ve been doing that in terrain vehicles for years! As Calvin has proved, it can be applied to spaceships too! I’m thinking NASA engineers have a lot of catching up to do to match Spaceman Spiff’s abilities!

Calvin may stumble onto the right math answer, but his understanding of physics is godawful.

I love the idea of someone missing yesterday’s strip and reading this one and having no idea why this is happening.

I’ve always like Spiff the spaceman. Spiff Carner was one of the hosts (with Randy Cook) of a morning oldies show on a couple of stations here in Atlanta many moons ago. Funny guy.

That’s a mighty powerful flying saucer he’s got. Doc Smith’s Lensman series has the most overpowered spaceships of any science fiction universe I know of, but I don’t think even he ever got to the point where a one-person craft could pull a planet out of orbit.

When the 4th and 5th planets align the moon is in the 7th house.

This is pretty funny, for mocking the naivete and silliness of a six-year-old. He thinks he can pull a planet with…an anchor and a small spaceship.

Well, physics never was Spiff’s strong suit ! ;-)

This is actually feasible. All it takes is a small amount of force applied over … a BILLION years!

Calvin has lost his marbles. Otherwise, he could get the answer.

This comic was copied exactly in a Bollywood movie, except Calvin was replaced with a kid named dyslexic boy named Ishaan.

Let’s hope the “hurtling” planet doesn’t provoke some hurling,,,

The outcome is that he still flunks the test.
