I think I need to take a break. Yes, definitely a break. I keep seeing an unknown orange cat popping up here and there on BCN. But when I take a second look, the cat seems to disappear. Now, I’m hearing disturbing rumors concerning racoons…I don’t know what to believe.

Perhaps a change of scenery, a long ocean voyage…Australia, that’s the ticket. Robin can put me up for a few months. I’m sure it will not be a problem.

A long vacation…no email…no distractions…plenty of medicinal gin.

OT: Eye doc today

Sept. 30th will mark one year since I started having vision trouble in my left eye. It turned out to be due to a swollen optic nerve, a rare complication of diabetes. Luckily I didn’t have any retinopathy & didn’t need to get any shots in the eye (YUCK!), & I have recovered some of my vision but the result is like looking through an old, filthy, streaky window.

It’s annoying as H-E-double-toothpicks but at least it’s not my dominant eye, thank Ceiling Cat for small favors…we’ll see if I’ve recovered any more in the last 6 months…

OT: I have had to sign in to the comics the last three days now. It’s very annoying. What gives?

As y’all know, I’m an animal lover, but one of these days, the darned street mutts are going to get it. My sleep is ruined because the darned hounds from hell won’t shut up and stop howling and barking at 02:45 AM. The fiends. Yes, it is about that time here right now.

I just noticed that Elvis is peaking through his paw to see how poofing serious Lupin is. You can just see his right eye (our left side) through the toes on his paw.
