âtips out the wazooâ. âi can work hardâ âitâs cuddle time.â So many double-entendres. After all that, I think Frank would agree with anything Nancy said.
When my wife comes home I have her dinner done and an after shower drink ready.I then continue with my house work well into the night.Sheâs the master!!
The rent earned by renting Brad`s old room is what pays for Luannâs Community College Education. Is it time for Luann to pay for her education like an âAdult Studentâ?
Everybody seems to be playing the âI am Woman! Hear me roar!â card. Sorry folks. Itâs time to get slapped in the face with reality.
Frank is right. Nancy has neither experience, nor training in working a bar. As a manager, she has already shown the skills. But thereâs a lot of work that goes into just being a competent bartender.
And no, the whole âSheâs a beautiful lady. Who will charm everyone into forgiving her mistakesâ wonât cut it. No bar management would keep a bartender under those circumstances.(Oh wait. She is management. Never mind.)
You know what people with experience have in common? They had a boss who was willing to give them a chance at a time when they didnât have experience.
Give your wife a chance to prove that she can do the job, Frank. You two agree to try it out for a month and maybe bring in a trainer to help her get the hang of it.
HmmmmâŠI think maybe Nancy will totally flop at the job and they will hire Tiffany. OhâŠbut maybe sheâs not old enough to tend bar. How old is the gang?
Nancy shouldnât be saying that she CAN work hard. Modern reality would have her say that she ALREADY WORKS HARD (around the house.) Bartending, managing event booking at the Fuze might seem like a vacation.
I still think itâs a midlife crisis. But I like Nancyâs positive (and kinda reckless) attitude. Luann can help with the theater and TJ with the Bar. Maybe this will be good for her and for The Fuse.
Looking like another week with Nancy or Nancy and Frank. Canât think theyâll end with the deal sort of sealed. Iâm expecting Nancy at the Fuse and seeing how well she fits with her new job.
No skills and no experience. Sheâs got this!!! Seriously I do admire her enthusiasm and Nancy is smart and a quick study. She will do fine but she has a big learning curve ahead of her.
People, people, people! It will work because GnK will make it work⊠and they need fresh material. Back in the day (before 2015) whoever wouldâve thought Irma would find new love; and with Lesâ Uncle to boot!
Sheâs got the managerial chops for the office stuff but sheâs going to need lessons if sheâs going to be a bartender. Thatâs not a good job to learn on the fly as youâve got ten people yelling at you for their drinks and youâre trying to look up the recipes in the manual.
I doubt the writers will go this way but Iâd like to see Nancy take bartending classes, get to know some new (and probably very different) people, and expand her horizons a bit. That way sheâll approach her new job with skill instead of it being a likely comedy of errors. Iâd also like to meet some of the people in her classes.
Nancy has absolutely NO experience as a bartender. Nancy has no idea about soliciting and syphoning event business into the Fuse. Nancy knows nothing about getting permits with the local governing bodies to stage any events. Nancy is utterly WRONG for the job. (which should probably be TWO jobs really) Frank should stand up to her and explain all this and tell her to look for a job outside of the Fuse. But since Mr. Grey is managing the place, he will inherit the task of telling one of the owners that she isnât a good fit there â despite the vest.
Reality is gonna punch her right in the snoot. This ainât a shot nâ a beer joint. Bartending in an upscale place is a learned art. Event planning? Well, you donât need a degree but working as the assistant for a while helps you avoid very expensive mistakes.
While I donât like when someone gets a little too cocky about what they think they can do, I have always thought Nancy has potential beyond what G&K have allowed for her. She is level headed (compared to others). Iâm sure she can learn to mix a few drinks by watching youtube videos and working with TJ. I have a feeling G&K had Nancy in mind when they decided to move Pru out.
The Fuse has been where they have been getting their income including the money from Pruâs rent. Pru earned that money working at The Fuse. By taking Pruâs position, they no longer have to pay someone else. Nancy will be paying herself.
Has anyone else thought about Pru leaving without enough notice to her employers so they could get a replacement and have Pru train the new hire? Donât recall anyone mentioning that.
I think Frank could learn to enjoy stopping at the Fuse on the way home from work, sitting at the bar, ordering a whiskey sour from his wife and relaxing a bit.
Why does an adult woman need permission from her husband to work at a business she owns? And then to use cuddle time to convince him â he should use cuddle time to admire his strong wife.
I kinda imagined The Fuze as a kind of tween/early adult type of place, not one that people the age of Frank and Nancy would attend. So most of their client base might not be old enough to actually drink alcohol. I like the fact that the G&K team took this approach. It is their business, they should be there. And since, it seems everyone likes Nancy, she might be a mother figure that both Less and Tiffany could use. As for the spare room, even with the somehow financial strains, I wish they would be foster parents. I do wish we could get a segment with LuAnn and Faye. She was such a sweet character.
âTwas ever thus. Nancy is using âher feminine wilesâ (read: sex) to win over Frank. To be sure, the matter was already decided; Frank just hasnât realized it yetâŠ.
