Looks like the Woman will be getting a Roomba! Definitely a wise choice to pick up cat hairs.

Are they quiet enough to not scare the bejeesus out of pussycats? I think the movement alone would cause my Sophie to hide out in her closet.

The Annual Spring Shed Hair Daily Festival has begun. You would think they would be bald by now. Daily vacuuming is not enough to rid the ever shedding hair. After combing, brushing and even using a lint removel to get the last hairs, there still is more to comb, brush and lint remove.

Roombas are the spies of Skynet; carefully mapping your house over and over to ensure they have it perfectly laid out.

She-Who-Is-Sitting-By-The-Window,-Warming-Her-Paws-In-The-Sun-And-Keeping-Careful-Watch-On-The-World-In-Case-It-Does-Something-She-Disapproves-Of,-Which-It-Probably-Will does not like either the Dyson vacuum cleaner or the Roomba, but She isn’t afraid of them. She just thinks they are too noisy.

And we know what fate awaits us when the robots arrive in force.

My vacuum and I are thrilled to be down one extra-large furry dog (moved out with my son). Now it’s just five cats and one dog, the fur seems much more manageable.

Getting the robot vacuum was the best idea I had in a long time. Cats and vacuum, though. That way lies madness.

Well my cat doesn’t really lose hair that much but I been to my friends house and yep she was covered in cat hair I’m glad my cat doesn’t lose to much hair! I would be tried if I had to vacuum everyday! :)

I got a Roomba and my cats ride it like a toy car. At first they were scared of it but in about two weeks they started riding it.

I am so sorry for your loss. It seems every time we lose one we lose a part of ourselves too.

Just how big IS that apartment? Take out all of the carpeting and put in hard flooring. Then you can dustmop it quickly because you can see where the dust/hair is.

I’ll bet the cats are going to enjoy this as much as Wally does in Drabble.

Given the interesting vibes it’ll make (even if not particularly loud), my guess is Lupin will be the first RoombaRider…with Puck reporting the milestone, and Elvis all a-hiss.

ROOMBA TO THE RESCUE

I don’t understand. I’ve been vacuuming for over 60 years and have never thought of it as heavy labor. The hardest was vacuuming stairs when we had multiple floors.

When our daughter was in middle school she saved the yield from brushing the cat, who liked being brushed for some reason, and made me a toupee. She really enjoyed giving it to me.

Another benefit from the robovac is the possibility of shooting cat riding the vac videos.

U Express, the parent company for GoComics made some drastic changes to their advice columns page —without any warning—which has made it impossible for me to navigate them. None of the links there work now. I hope they don’t make similar changes here. If they do, I’ll try to get here via my Fire Tablet, though it’s really hard for my shaky fingers to type on a touch screen keyboard!

I now have only the 3 cats and 1 giant Great Dane. No one thought to tell me that Great Danes shed their entire bodies at least once a month and you end up with half of those hairs stuck in the bottom of your feet. If he wasn’t so lovable the shedding and hair splinters might be a problem but how can a 200lb lap dog that is like a shadow 24/7 be any kind of problem?

What you need is a robot that can vacuum floors and make video conference calls…

…you need a ZOOMBA!

Try having 6 house cats. The hair is impossible to keep up with. Living with a people who is a hoarder doesn’t help either. No wonder I’m on three different allergy meds just to live in my own house! (not allergic to cats, just dirt and mold and my spouse)
