A – but the story arc was lots of fun, not like a soap opera. I don’t mind all of the gory psychological details being left out. I can supply plenty by myself. Tiff was a blast. Gunther was true, and I bet Bets (who on the surface is unlikeable to an old fogey like me) is representative of many young adults these days. AND I liked the banter of the readers much better than usual.
Frank has a problem with the instructions for this piano. No wonder – the instructions were probably written by some guy in Bangladesh who was paid $200. In the next year or two, if Frank wants to watch a new flatscreen or IPhone, he will have to find a geek to help him get started.
That thing probably has several demo tunes stored in it. Go ahead, Frank – just sit in front of it with your fingers just above the keys, put it in “demo” mode, and make it look good. And, now the really good advice: do not take requests.
Frank is going to find as I did that after years of work, sports and various other stupid things his fingers may no longer move well enough to play an instrument. I think older people who can play the piano are one’s who never stopped.
The jury is ‘out’. I have to see whether any of the players involved in this arc are changed, positively, from this experience, moving forward. If not, they’re just a buncha pratfalling numskulls.
Relax, Frank. Just turn the thing on—if you can find the button—and it’ll probably default to the “piano” voice. Don’t pay any mind to all those bells and whistles. In any case, you’ll try “Chopsticks” and maybe the melody to a Beatles song, then you’ll turn it off when you remember you were never any good on the piano.
B, but with a little A. While I do like Bets and Gun, as they are opposites and help each other out in areas lacking in their personalities. Bets is outgoing and popular, pulling Gunther out of his bubble, go to cosplays, be part of the instragram following. Bets helps Gun socially. Gun provides Bets with security and stability. While I am glad they got back together, I dislike how they got back together. Nothing got resolved, there was no closure. Bets did not talk to Gun willingly. She was tricked by Tiffany. If it wasn’t for the pagoda of peace, Bets would still be ghosting Gun. Bets did not resolve anything on her own, thus she had no growth. I did like the long term dream Bets had with Gunther and the children going into old age. The whole make-up scenario was just too fast. I really wish at the end when Gun got lost in the McMansion, and returned right after the missed call, he walked away from Bets and told her that he needed to think about all of this to decide what he would like.
Don’t panic! You mostly will need the manual for doing fancy MIDI stuff. For basic playing it like a piano, just turn it on and then bring up the volume; the default “voice” will almost certainly be piano. Work on getting your “chops” back before you try to get fancy with the sequencer and stuff. ;-)

With this story arc now officially over, I thought we could take a Final Tally onhow people feel about it’s resolution.
If you dislike that Bets and Gunther are back together… type the letter (A)
If you like that Bets and Gunther are back together… type the letter (B)
If you could care less about either of them… type the letter ©
Feel free to add any comments you like next to your vote. =-) LOL
Thanks!

Greg is so old that he remembers when software came with manuals. I don’t think any software today comes with a manual.

Frank has trouble with the buttons in the car. How is he supposed to be able to work an electric keyboard?

Hit a key, any kee. Hit another. Keep hitting them until you get a melody, Declare success and call it a day.

They’re actually WAY simpler than they used to be. Just pick a preset, and the first one is always “piano.”
But no – it doesn’t just come back. Even if you remember how, your fingers won’t do that anymore.
