Even strong feminist politicians can go wrong, like the gorgeous small-city leftist activist and part-time bikini model I admired (and practically worshipped) until she started stalking me in a Fatal Attraction-ish way.

IIRC there was one point in history where Indira Gandhi was at war with Pakistan, Margaret Thatcher was at war with Argentina, Golda Meir was at war with Egypt, and the female prime minister of Iceland had their navy firing warning shots at British fishing boats. I may have some details a bit off, but the lesson is there: Women are the equal of any man.

Some people STILL believe that women would do a worse job than men.

Despite the total mess that men have made of it.

Danae has reached the first step – shouting. Next comes the long follow-up, a process which she has rarely completed.

Kate, on the other hand is very definitely in the planning mode. She has set the bait and now waits for just the right moment to nudge Dad and Danae along her path. Smart but crafty.

When Dopey Joe finally fulfills his purpose as presidential bookmark and leaves office one way or another before the end of his term or week, Mentally Handicapped Kamela (remember her?) will stumble and we will all really be screwed, blued, and tattooed even worse. Our present VP IS a woman, who WOULD be President if President Biden resigned or was 25th amendment removed. [The video record of his 50 years of public “service” shows he has ALWAYS been a stupid, racist man! And, everyone except Democrats who WILL NOT see, notice he is also senile now.]Kamala always nervously cackles hysterically when she is asked a question. So, a non-senile stupid President Harris, might not be much of an improvement.

Not all women are equally suited to leadership.

I would like to enter into evidence articles A (M.T.Green) and B (Boebert) as proof that some women should be kept as far away from the halls of power as possible!

Social change never happens overnight – it takes time and any attempt to challenge an established norm will be met with a certain amount of resistance. To scream and yell; throw objects at the opposition or even planting bombs is more than counter-productive – it lays the foundation for an authoritarian society and then NO ONE can speak their opinions.

    Funny, the comments are…

All of a sudden the wars come into discussion, as if women in power at that time should have just stopped the wars on the day they were in charge, and all would be well by 5 PM… never mind the politics that led those conditions instigated by men, I might add….

The other argument that pops up the discussion: “She’s no better than the man who is charge now”…as if women were educated and later mentored by a completely different system…

In my middle years, I hung out with a bunch of feminists who truly believed (and I was kind of inclined to agree with them) that the world would be better off if it were run by women — or at least had a stronger female presence. Since then I’ve been brot back down to Earth by the likes of Margaret Thatcher, Park Geun-hye, Aung San Suu Kyi, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Kristi Noem, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Wisconsin’s own Rebecca Kleefisch. Now I just want government leaders who are sensible, pay attention to facts, can use reason, and are willing to compromise to get things done, regardless of their reproductive plumbing. Is that too much to ask?

Have we considered all the women in power who have taken their countries to war? Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi – there are others. Yeah, good idea, time for women to take over government; they couldn’t make it much worse than how it currently works.

I can think of a long line of women who should not be ever allowed anywhere near seats of power, yet one of them is the US Senator from Tennessee, and two others are currently sitting US Representatives, and one got appointed to the Supreme Court last year.

Equality simply means there are just as many idiot women as there are idiot men running around doing stuff. While I think we would be moderately better off if women were roughly half the government, I don’t think it would be much different. All of which means, IMHO, it is absurd to expect women to be superior to men, and it is absurd to say that because one woman screws up, all women are unfit to do the job.

They all seem to have missed the “obvious” technical meaning:

It’s only men who are created equal. Women, then, can be superior.
