I hate to agree, but it looks like we’re winding up for a big old heart punch to Ox.

Tiff and Ox puzzled, Kip exasperated and Steffi babbling. Sounds like more next week.

Subtle, she ain’t.

Two observations:. One, Kip’s very friendly smile in response to Tiff in panel 1 and, of course, Steffi’s clumsy alliteration in Panel 3. Panel 2 just shows how clueless Tiff is to any idea of Ox’s feelings, while Ox is all clue. Until Monday, but boy.are we set up.

This whole name game thing is kind of childish. It was probably invented by movie magazines, and Hollywood gossip columnists, and aimed at people like Bernice and Luann. I want my own name, not some alloy.

Stef is about to become an ex girlfriend.

So we’re reinforcing the stereotype of cheerleaders are stupid? If this is where we were going with this, defending cheerleading as a sport was a waste of time.

Kip seems to not even like Stephanie, yet he’s in a relationship with her and doesn’t mind doing her in close proximity and well within the hearing of her roommates.

It’s incredible but Stef has just entered a new level of being annoying, even more than her usual! She will repeat that name so much that even Ox will start hate it. No wonder Kip dumps her so often, the weird thing is that they always get back together. Especially since Kip seems to be in a lot of pain in being with her

Thank you Lord, it is Saturday and this arc can’t continue, unless, over the weekend, events occur that can not (should not) show up in print..

Looking at Kip’s facial expressions, he will take Steph back to the dorm for the last night of “boot knocking” , after which he will dump her. He already paid for dinner, she owes him something.

Dorm room occupied, Tiff and Ox go back to the mansion. Tiff needs a shower, tells Ox she hopes he does not mind seeing her " aue naturale", as she said to Gunther that time. So she comes out of shower, in bath robe, all combed out and cute.

Bathrobe slips open, Ox sees the goodies. But like Gunther, has no idea what to do.

And I look forward to Monday.

Kip hits on Tiff. Steff is crushed. Tiff is flattered. Ox takes Steff aside to comfort her. Steff just wraps up Ox in her gratitude. And, as she snuggles deeper into Ox’s huge arms, she forgets the quarterback’s name, and wonders if “bigger IS better”.

This is cruel on Stef’s part. Tiffany has always been nice to Ox, but never encouraged him or offered false hope. Stef trying to force this is only going to get Oz hurt and leave Tiff looking like the jerk no matter what she says.

Wonder if Ox admits to caring for Tiffany and/or his feelings are crushed. He’s come to her rescue many times, but she seems oblivious to his feelings. Steff is a PITA, but she may bring the situation out into the open, for better or worse. Kip is…..Kip I guess. Backs down to keep the peace. §:-o
