I…I thought this was Lupin Week. Instead GASP! The long-awaited Mystery of the First Floor Apartment! I am, as they say, intrigued.

Who will move in?! That’s the sixty four thousand dollar question.

I had a Marine Corps drill instructor once tell me that the best compliment a DI could give a new Marine at graduation was, “Were you in my company?” If he never had to notice you, good or bad, you were doing something right.

A new tenant downstairs? Will he/she have a cat? Maybe a cat with just one eye?

A chart! A map, even! With a pointer! This is a promising start to a Monday and to a story arc.

I didn’t recall the three apartments. I thought there were only two, a basement with laundry, and a haunted attic.

So lemme get this one. There’s an attic, there’s a top floor below it, then the middle floor where BCN is set, there’s a first floor below it. And there’s a basement too. But no mention of the ground floor. So, who or what is at the ground floor?

What if it’s someone who doesn’t like cats?! The only thing to do in that situation is for cats to rub all over them until they change their mind!

Well, we’ve figured out he’s deaf since he’s never complained about Lupin’s thunderous paws and the kids.

Elvis, you are right, the perfect downstairs neighbor. (Spoken as a landlord).

Just to confuse people, in Britain, that’s the Ground floor. Because it’s, y’know, on the ground. Anyhow, does this mean new cats incoming?

I love how y’all are speculating that the new tenants moving in my bring Iggy. Here is another idea, although a bit emotional: what if the guy downstairs moving out abandons Iggy and he is rescued by the man and woman? Then we would have an adorable addition to the BCN crew!

That mystery person must the most patient, tolerant, understanding, mello, and nicest downstairs neighbor, who ever existed!

The pink house description reminds me of the neighborhood I rented a room in Providence when attending R.I.S.D during Freshman year in 1955.

Those of you who don’t live in apartments can’t imagine the terror involved in waiting for a new tenant. When I heard my quiet upstairs neighbor was moving out, I wished I could pay her to stay.

having had a puppy over me for 9 months, there can be move than you want when it comes to noise. I just focus on it’s a happy sound so far.

The guy probably has no cats and that’s why nobody pays attention.

So there are three aparments there. Huh, I thought the secetion below the hill was the basement and Elvis, Puck, Lupin, Goldie, and their people lived on the first floor all along.
