you’re not much a photographer, are you, luann?

Luann + Jack + Puddles = Bonding. ✨

No stressgasms yet. Probably means something dire re Puddles!

Okay, I’ll admit.

At the very least Luann hasn’t hit the “panic button,” yet.

That should count for a couple of points.

Luann, phone home! If the dog park is in walking distance of your house, maybe Puddles is already scratching on the door hoping to be let back inside. Is Shannon still there to let him in, or did she wander off somewhere, too?

Poor puddles, such a poor caretaker he has.

Along with my really good pictures of my dog, I also have lots of not good ones. It’s hard to delete them when he’s so very cute.

Here I am wondering if Jack will give Luann a lecture on being a responsible dog parent. Also wondering if Luann will realize that the same responsibility applies when she is babysitting Shannon and the reason why she was severely disciplined at Kids First. That would be what Luann needs – coming from Jack, not Bernice, her BFF, or her parents.

Since we tend to get into the topic of GREEN ACRES in these comment sections, who else besides me is reminded of that montage from the pilot episode where all of the photos of Oliver during his childhood were blurry, out of focus, or poorly-framed, and it apparently wasn’t until he was in high school when his father finally learned how to use a camera?

Otherwise, the one with Puddles’s nose sticking out from under his blanket reminds me of a weekend when I house and pet sat for my aunt and uncle’s weenie dog, and he pretty much spent the entire weekend like this: pouting under his blanket with only his nose sticking out.

Can’t watch a dog; can;t take a pic of a dog; what can she do?

In the back seat of Brad’s car, they will find Shannon, the stolen TV, and Puddles.

Hopefully Puddles has a microchip. even if slipped his collar.

Well, look at him.

What a good dog.

They may not be great photos but they show the essence of a happy dog and that is what Luann was showing she understands really well.

Or Puddles is one of those dogs that never stop and it’s impossible to photograph or Luann is not good as a photographer. It’s nice to see her still calm, Jack seems to know very well what to do and gives her confidence.

Actually she makes very good photos.

I will have to say that the look on Jack’s face in the last panel and him asking Luann, “Why do you keep lousy photos?” cracked me up.

I used to have a girlfriend who hated having her picture taken, so every time she spotted a camera she turned and faced the other way. And then had the nerve to ask why people only had pictures of her rear end.

Are there still dogcatchers nowadays?

I remember them as “villains” in those great old cartoons.

Agreeing with some of the other contributing folks here …. check with the pound in case he was picked up for his own safety, or call home. Gotta find the poor little pup.

I love Jack.

He is sweet, thoughtful and really seems to have his head together in any situation.

I used to want Luann to date him, but now I think he may be too good for her! Lol!

Easy. Puddles is the only dog around which is a caricature.

Some dogs know when they’re being photographed and don’t like it.

In case people were worried about Puddles, I doubt they’d do a gag strip if the story was to end in tragedy.

For once Luann admits to one of her faults.

I understand Luann. Every time I point my phone at my dog, he turns around and runs away.

I have been working with a model for some time and have accumulated thousands of shots. A lot of them are real stinkers, but I keep them anyway. Sometimes you can work with them and really make a purse out of a sow’s ear.

I once asked a professional photographer I know how he never took a bad picture. He said, “I take lots of bad pictures, you just don’t see them.”

Argh. Puddles is missing. Marigold is missing. This is too much to take at the same time!

I am getting the feeling that Puddles doesn’t like Luann much

I predict Jack’s App will save the day but not before he and Luann meet a lot of new people who are helping them search online. Hilarity will ensue and Puddles will be reunited with Luann. At least I HOPE that’s what happens!

Puddles is so cute. I can see why Luann likes her dog better than she likes Gunther or Jack.

The dog couldn’t have gotten too far away. They should search the area first, then do the other things.

The fenced in dog park should be a safe place for dogs to play off leash. The city/county could be sued for not keeping the fence in good repair. Luann did not do anything wrong by letting Puddles play off leash.

Was Puddles ever chipped?

Greg, why does everything with your title character have to be negative. Can you find something positive about her and maybe draw that instead of constantly using her as an inept bumbling baffoon.

I love those pictures.When it’s YOUR pet,every part of him looks cute.The big problem with pet pictures is “Pinkeye”.

Meanwhile,Puddles has found a home with Mark Anthony and Pussyfoot.

Have they ever said what breed Puddles is? He looks like he might be a short hair dachshund mix.

Please don’t kill off the only decent character in this strip…

I still think Puddles may have wandered back home. probably he knows his way back having been walked that way many times…..unless he gets sidetracked by other good odors along the way.

hope he is micro-chipped and has his license on his collar. there was a lost dog in my backyard a few years ago and thanks to him having his dog license on his collar was able to locate his owner who lived on the street behind me.

I am remind of the last time Luann lost Puddles. Someone left the front door open (they never say who) and he got out. The family when looking for him, going door to door, and comes to a house with a couple of sisters name Lindy and Shannon She ask them to keep an eye out for Puddles and Shannon says they will before slamming the door in her face. Turns out they saw Puddles in the yard and claimed him as their own. When the Lindy asked about giving Puddles back, Shannon replies “No Lindy. Finder keepers, loser wieners”. Luckily their mother found out and returned Puddles. Note: This was around the mid 90’s, before Brad had his turn around. So it looks like they recycled a character.

Oh no, is Monstro next. I was relieved when Puddles was ok last week, not fair to have the same thing happen and stress over a cartoon dog
