A flawed principle. Mass shooters and such unfortunately love others to the degree they love themselves. I’d prefer the Buddhist principle of compassion for all.
I would love this strip even more if they featured more Zebra vs. Crocs cartoons instead of griping about social media and promoting journalists as paragons of virtue and protectors of “democracy”.
So-called Christians, whose belief set tells them to love their neighbors, are mostly unfamiliar with that idea. Seems they’re largely unfamiliar with most things Jesus taught.
The golden rule is all you need. We all live in glass houses but still love to throw stones. Why is it so fun to try and break the glass? Maybe that’s a principle we ought to think more about. Nah, why bother, sounds like a waste of time. Better to eat the slow.

Good thing for sloths that crocodiles can’t climb trees.

Somebody should tell Wile E. Coyote about that principle.

Although incomplete, Zebra’s guiding principle is biblical:
Matthew 22:3, Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27, Romans 13:9, and Leviticus 19:18
“Love your neighbor as yourself”

Zebra, do not accept Larry’s invitation to lunch, as you may be the main course!
