Long hair always looks better

She looks like a dork. I was hoping it would be styled. All she needs are wooden shoes and a tulip.

Well they say that the difference between a bad haircut and a good one is 2 weeks but hair only grows 1/2 inch a month. What difference will 1/4 inch make? I don’t think there’s any hope for this except letting it grow out.

I love the look on Elizabeth’s face. Lynn does facial expressions very well.

I too wanted a change, think I was 15, so had my hair cut by my mom’s beautician. I looked like a middle-aged housewife! I combed it out, let it grow, and no stylist since has given it more than a trim.

I think it’s cute. Now update your wardrobe and play with some makeup and you’ll look amazing.

Looks like no boyfriend THIS year.

Don’t worry, Liz. Your hair will be drawn back to its original look in 6-8 weeks….

Liz needs to get rid of the training bra and get a pair of socks to stuff a larger one.

Is it irony that her stylist has a great short hair cut, her friend with her has a great short haircut, and yet somehow Liz ends up with a TERRIBLE short haircut? :D

I prefer VERY short hair, on me. My granddaughter and DIL look best with long hair (theirs is straight, unlike mine).

Its never fun leaving the salon with that look on your face!

I have shoulder length hair. I really like it. I used to have really short hair, but decided to grow it out. As someone commented, short hair always looks the same.

I know a few women that pay about $200 for haircuts and “styling”. It looks like something they could do themselves, in about 5 minutes with a pair of scissors.

It will grow back, always does and way too fast for me.

Elizabeth will grow up, get married to Drum, move to Chinquipin parish, have a bunch of kids, and pass up a chance to slap Ouiser and become famous. And her hair will still look like a brown football helmet.

In my opinion it’s the worst haircut she could have asked for and she should have talked to her mom first, which reminds me, what will she say when she sees that?

The only problem I see with the cut is the flat bottom. The effect is rather severe.

I’d be in shock, too, if I walked out of a salon with such an awful cut.

Mom will be in shock.

It’s still not that short.

Cutting your hair to something an eight year old would wear, along with still dressing like an eight year old boy, does not make you look more mature.

Wait till mom sees it. Hoo boy!

Take a tip from the Fashion Queen, Princess of Wales, keep it long, the ‘up’ when getting older.

Wait until she gets home, although Elly’s hair is short.

At least for guys, the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is about 2 weeks.

Mine too! My mother would give me a poodle dog perm & it would be back to straight, although damaged, in 2 weeks.

It looks like Elizabeth got the cut and then said “No, don’t bother to style it” because she was in shock. I hope she finds a style that she likes at this length.

One Saturday, I was crossing the parking lot and heard an odd sound. I noticed a young woman sitting in a car crying. I went over and asked if I could help somehow, pray, whatever. She gave me a watery smile and said she was really ok but it was her High School graduation that evening, and she had just gotten her hair cut and hated it. She said she’d be ok, but was thinking of all the photos that would be taken and such. So, all I could do was commiserate a bit and leave her with a pack of tissues. Yeah, we have all had bad haircuts.

A funny strip could be where both girls find a way to solve their problem hair. They find a voodoo priestess and offer her cash.

45 MINUTES LATER…

The voodoo lady waves goodbye to Elizabeth and Dawn, who are now both long-haired and have shrunken heads on their shoulders!

From looking underage to looking 40 in seconds flat!

Elizabeth can be a model as the kid on the paint can. Whereas the motto for Dutch Boy was “he works hard for your money”. Elizabeth’s paint can motto can be “Not all Canadians sit around for handouts”.

Takes some getting use to I would think…..

I have a former colleague and long term friend who always wore her hair short because it gave her a more “professional” look, until the Covid pandemic when she had no choice but let it grow. She looks good either way, and though I must admit I have a personal preference for longer hair in most cases the way she wore it shorter did a really nice job of framing her face. She is, by the way, also one of the more intelligent and nice people I’ve ever known. Lesson, the hair doesn’t make the person.

when i was in my 40s, a fellow patroller (vdot) cut and curled her hair short, and looked like she’d dropped 10 years off her age. absolutely lovely.

Even in the 80s, a good hairdresser wouldn’t have let a client go out with a hairstyle she didn’t like or wasn’t sure of…
