I’m not sure . . . apparently too much of either could possibly make you die, so I guess it’s all about moderation. Then again, I’m not a doctor, I just watch them on TV. Somebody get me a martini, and let’s go chase some nurses.

Is Luann competing, in her mind, with Tara for Piro?

Oh, Luann…don’t go for a fixer-upper. Let Piro find his own way while you find a boyfriend more like you, from a stable home, maybe someone with a little more direction in life to set a good example. Piro isn’t ready to be anyone’s partner right now, least of all someone who can’t really empathize with him.

Seriously, nothing will ever come of this. G&K have revealed their hand.

I’d vote for laughter as the healthier choice. At least, I’ve never heard that it’s possible to become physically addicted to laughter.

Why is Tara so jealous of her cousin having a female friend? Why is she so possessive of him. This is Luann competing with Tiffany for the attention of Aaron Hill in high school all over again.

Let’s examine this logically. They inject you with adrenaline (under its other name, epinephrine) when you’re having a heart attack. They give you laughing gas to do a root canal. Which would you say counts as “better for you”?

I bet Piro wants to parasail out of the lives of the pests trying to “cheer” him up!!

Some of the greatest minds in history were brooding loners.

Tara has to be careful that her family’s dark and hidden gene doesn’t get passed along to Luann.

Did G&K forget they introduced Piro as Tara’s cousin?? This competition is creepy and weird.

So if you get laugter an adrenaline at th same time do you O.D.?

Unlike the Tiffany, Stef, Kip arc, Luann is competing with Tara’s cousin!

So Tara saw her cousin over the summer and they went to the sea together. I wonder if it was difficult to convince Piro to go with her and then to attach himself to a parachute towed by a motorboat, it’s nice to know that he had a lot of fun. Maybe, minus the depression, he’s more similar to Tara than he looks. I think Luann is not only jealous of what Piro and Tara do together, but that she also feels like left behind. It’s true that Tara has no obligation to tell her what she does, but it would have been nice if she’d texted to her and sent some photos. Now I hope that cheer up Piro becomes a friendly competition between the two to do together as a trio. He needs it and it would be fun to see.

They do say that laughter is the best medicine.

Some might think that Luann is wondering this for “physical” reasons. Possibly, eventually. Right now she hasn’t gotten out of the batter’s box with him.

Any bets as to whether Piro actually appears in this story arc with a speaking part, or will it be just these two talking about him?

I guess Tara’s not as close with Luann as a friend as I thought. You’d think she’d bring up going parasailing with Piro before now. Honestly, how much more exciting would it have been if Luann had done that instead of “The pool party that wasn’t?”

("Don’t worry, I’ll tell you all about the interesting events in novella format! ;D " is gonna be a running gag in my head for a while.)

Also, good for Tara for helping Piro have fun and get past his anxiety. I just think it would be nice if she invited Luann too. It’d give Luann some more excitement (and make her less of a guest star in her own strip). Luann didn’t struggle with depression as badly as Piro, but she’d benefit from getting out and trying new things to boost her confidence.

Laughter is healthier and can be sexy…..

Nothing more exciting than watching two characters talk about a third character who isn’t present.

Forget it, Luann, Piro’s out of your league. You don’t have the mental fortitude or real experience to handle someone like him.

Bernice sucks the life out of any strip … unless she gets punked.

Tara is an exciting backstabber and problem maker.

Even Tiff is less of a problem child than these two and Bets.

Most of the guys Luann knows are losers.

About the only young person who hasn’t mocked or tried to take advantage of Luann or flaked out in general is Jack. (Brad and Toni don’t count. They’re at least normal and likeable, and family.)

And Jack is on the way to having a real job as a vet.

Will the Evanses head Luann in the right direction? Or use her like Judy Carne, to get soaked again and again?

Healthier? Why, indeed! Seems he needs to enjoy life. Luann should try it!

Trying to channel ‘Frazz’, folks?

All I know is that if two people are arguing over how best to help someone who’s suffering they end up doing more harm than good. Ask the dude what he likes.

Probably laughter.

I wish they wouldn’t do the same story over and over again. It’s always the same just different combinations of girls.

Watch out Luann! Tara’s “well-intended” actions led to a major job loss and public embarrassment for you in the past. Imagine what she’d do “on purpose” if she became angry!

LuAnn is back…yawn.

Well, cousin gets the seat next to mystery man, slowly being unraveled. Will more be revealed? To me that is the most interesting question, although Lu’s ability to make him amused may prevail. By the way, he’s hardly a bum. a bit out-of-sorts but hardly easily dismisable as some useless layabout. Very typical of community college students who often need to sort themselves out while getting an education.

The obsession with guys is getting boring. Luann, Tiffany, Stef, and Bernice are all more focused on a dude than on anything else. Are any of them interested in their own future besides what guy they might date?

Somehow I can’t picture Lu doing anything exciting.

Tara was perfectly nice and said it was good that Luann makes Piro laugh, but then, for no reason at all, Luann makes a snarky competitive comment back, to the guy’s COUSIN for Pete’s sake! What is wrong with her? Would she compete with his sister? Or his mother? This got old really fast.

It’s a thing today.

I had to look up parasailing. It doesn’t look like an “extreme sport” as some have said. In fact it didn’t look like a sport at all, just sitting in some seat elevated high over the water by a parachute being dragged by a motor boat. Now I know the name for the recreational activity that i see constantly in TV commercials for prescription meds for people with colitis and other gastrointestinal conditions.

wonder what the next writing assignment will be …..
