Finally, someone is getting some in the Luann universe!

You all beat me to it: If the van’s rockin… So I’ll just say that it sounds like a plan, but it will be obvious to anyone walking by what that plan is. How secluded can any place be when it is on a college campus.

Dez shows up at the wrong time.

They’ll dress up in goofy costumes and go to some fan event. Bets might meet and greet some former followers and feel good about being recognized, and Gunther will get to show off his costume skills and enjoy spending time with his girlfriend. Will that be enough for Bets? This is probably the end of this arc, with something new on Monday, but it keeps them going as a couple for a while.

Hopefully the wackiness is hanky panky. But likely a new arc next week.

So, apparently they AREN’T breaking up? I’m totally confused…

Gonna be some whacking in th van?

Maybe there’s hope for this relationship after all—though I admit I am skeptical. Time will tell.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone else (probably Stef) starts their own blog centering on Bets’ and Gunny’s “wackiness”—never mind the invasion of privacy.

I’d like a Bets in my life, but not her fan club.

And their hearts (and minds) grew three sizes that day.

Okay.

Now I’m wondering what unpleasantness is waiting for them when they get to the van.

Why?

Because nowadays, parking your vehicle in a “quiet corner of the parking structure” sometimes attracts “folks” WHO like to:

1) Break in your vehicle and steal its contents.

2) Swipe your catalytic converter.

3) Steal your vehicle and joyride it until it’s TOTALED while gleefully uploading their “antics” to Tik-Tok.

Let’s hope Mooney U. Security is up to the task, while remembering how long it took them to catch Tara the TV Thief. ;-)

And the haters wanting them to break up (again) have once again failed due to their love and ability to compromise. May a wedding happen in their future on par to Brad and Toni’s epicness.

Awesome Gunther! This will be a new beginning for Gunther and Bets. I’m happy for them. In the second panel Bets has already started smiling again and her eyes are as lively as they used to be. I really hope they’ll have fun, whatever they’re going to do. Ending with Dez seeing them run together full of energy is perfect. Now she knows that her friend has recovered and she can stop worry about her.

“Bets ‘N Gun” are “Bets Is GONE”… they just wanna keep beating that dead horse…

What’s wrong with having fans ?

It took that much drama, coaxing, and angst just to get them to consider getting it on? She even admitted she wasn’t happy with him! All this and I don’t think anything about her need for attention and hinging her worth into ‘Gunther or the Fans’ been resolved here. It’s still the same sad cycle they’ve been on.

Also lord help me, I hate myself for pointing this out but, ugh, panel 1 insinuates they’ll do stuff they’d normally do on Bets’N’Gun just minus the fans… Then she immediately goes to “let’s go the shaggin’ wagon!” I really don’t wanna know what kind of 18+ website Bets’N’Gun was.

Sounds like the Betts n’ Gun van’s shocks might be getting a workout, while Betts and Gun are working on their “whackiness.” Never heard of “Whackiness” used as a substitute word for what I believe Betts and Gun will be doing in the van, but at least they’re trying to regain themselves.

Take a GOOD HARD look at panel one.

Bets and Gun were, by Bets OWN admission, having FUN hanging out and doing FUN stuff together. Things were just fine.

But by panels Two and Three SHE decided that They were a “thing.” In other words, Bets was the one who wanted to take it to the “next level” relationship-wise. Gunther merely meekly agreed. Then several weeks later, Bets whips her smart phone out.

So as much as I love Bets IMO, anything and everything that has gone wrong and IS going wrong in this “relationship,” its ALL Bets’ FAULT.

The wife and I did some “wakiness” in the van once. Goy caught.. I was embarrassed, she was laughing her butt off. Good times.

Yeah, I was thinking they met through cosplay interests and had fun before the website.

At my age I have to do “wacky” (not a euphemism) in secret or people think I have early-onset dementia. …or maybe even senile dementia :-/

This is the only place that gives such perfect examples of stupidity. Like today – they’re off to do some wackiness – which everyone assumes is having sex – add to it the innuendo of the van in a quiet corner of the parking lot, and the assumption is made. I don’t think they were broadcasting having sex – do you? In fact, I don’t think they have even had sex because Gunther is so buttoned up. So what does it mean? Tipping over mailboxes? Moving items from shelf to shelf in the grocery? What mindless, useless activity are they off to do? Enquiring minds want to know what the vague term wackiness means.

Evil to those who think evil.

X- or at least R-rated wackiness, it would seem.

Maybe they can recreate some of the road-trip fun, just the two of them.

I’m wacked out of this arc

I didn’t see this coming. First off, they aren’t off to have sex. And, Bets never dealt with her true issues. Why would she ask if they might be happier apart? Gunther just put a band-aid on their relationship without trying to fix it.

What’s next week? Luann & Jack at the dog park - Bernice helping Nils sell his artwork at a garage sale --Monstro swimming in his bowl?

And they all lived happily ever after…

what a great arc! Gunther has shown that he understands the give and take of a relationship and has used that ability to help his partner take the first steps in overcoming her dependency on social media. Bravo G&K.

I love RSH’ analysis, this a relationship arc, as part of the overall love story of Bets (still the subject of unreasonable hate and I’m personally convinced why, but don’t want to argue with people who don’t know what they are talking about, or worse, know full well and play that sick game, but this is Luann so I’ll be nice) and Gunther. Gunther did a masterful job with his lady, and she did an honest job of revealing her feelings. Whether the satisfy the prurient interests of my fellow old farts and fartesses, is satisfied is not the point, working together as a cuple in love is the point. How many of the other characters would solve their relationship problems this way?
