I’m kinda tired of seeing “bad postman” jokes. I’ve never met such a person… though you do hear about them here and there. And don’t get me started on the evil DeJoy.
My credit union insists on mailing a check to the power company. They had no problems doing EFTs for the prior two houses, but this place they send a check out a week before the due date. They blame the power company, who blames them and often banks the check days after the payment is due.
I was supposed to receive some tax information from my bank over two weeks ago, according to my “informed delivery” service. The letter is out in limbo somewhere between Houston and my local post office branch.
The mail service in my city is about that! I’ve found delivers on the curb, mail on wet pavement or in the street, and or delivered to wrong addresses…! Bills were coming weeks after the due date, etc. I now do all my banking and bills on line. ( not happy about it) and never send money or checks through the mail…ever! Two weeks to get a card from Florida to Ohio!
Washington keeps saying they’re going to fix it but it won’t be fixed until they get rid of the trump appointed DeJoy ! He’s totally ruined the USPS! Period‼️‼️‼️‼️ ☹️☹️☹️☹️
Years ago Dunking Donuts had a sign above the counter that said “No Tipping Allowed”. Seemed mean-spirited if you actually sat down and were waited on. I always tipped anyway.

Tip the mail carrier for doing the job he’s paid to do, so he won’t damage the items he is paid to deliver?
Nope.

I tip my mail carrier BarroBucks, that’s what she likes.

I’ve seen one carrier wear a sun helmet in the last few years, but they’re not too common.

Tip the mailman (sic)? Huh? Do you have to chase down the cheap junky little mail truck to do so? Asking for a friend.

I’m not sure if USPS personnel can accept tips… they’re federal employees after all.

I don’t blame the mailman: Coming from Rat and with what Rat said, the letter did seem/sound suspicious/dangerous.
CaveCat87 9 months ago
You should have tipped him when you gave him the letter, then he would have followed through with being careful with it.

No wonder the price of stamps is going up…_again._ Having to equip each carrier with a flame thrower could get costly.
