Why is Tara jealous of what her cousin said to Luann is more what I was wondering…

Tara seems to be very possessive about Piro, in a not very healthy way.

“Forget it, Lu. I’ve been sleeping with my cousin for a while now.”

Sort of a friendly “one-upmanship” between Tara and Luann. Over Piro. But I love Luann’s last comment, she won this round!

Well, “My impact is better than your impact. Hmmph” A competition for Piro developing.

Ugh! Piro, again? Give it up, Luann.

Does anyone else feel the darkness of the end of Piro’s story, here? Because I do.

They’re still fighting over Piro, even when having a friendly conversation? Guess he’s that attractive, huh?

Glad Luann got in the snarky comment this time. Tara’s fixation on her cousin is kinda weird.

Tara’s relationship with Piro is a little bit gross. Also, can we get Luann some real friends?

I like the exaggerated way Tara wants to protect her cousin and give him happiness. Pribably Piro is the only one of her family that’s not a total train wreak and she really cares a lot about him. I like this competition between her and Luann to help Piro being happy. Let’s hope Tara will understands that Luann is able to respect Piro’s boundaries and is not the type who wants to make him suffer. So, if one day Luann and Piro decide to try being together, she can support them instead of being against it.

I wear such a combo daily, all winter long!

I don’t think Tara is drawn to her cousin in any gross kind of way like some people are thinking. Given that the last relative of hers we saw followed he to The Spark with the intent to rob the place and then hit her with a car, plus the other info dropped about her family being damaged, I’m thinking Piro is the only relative she might be able to be on good terms with.

Plus, the way she greeted him when she realized who he was makes me think that there might be some heavy tragedy we haven’t heard about in his past.

I think she is overprotective more than anything else.

After really getting to know Piro, if Lu caught him, would she want to keep him?

More of this weird, creepy, middle-school-level competition for Piro’s affections, huh? And once again we keep being told how hilarious Luann’s writing is, when that certainly doesn’t seem to come across when we’re exposed to it. “Some random girl caught me peeing outside in the bushes, my brother came over looking like a slob, she and him traded insults and then he left. We decided to be friends, but then sat around in silence until she left too. The End.”

I’m just saying, Dave Barry she ain’t.

This “competition” between Tara and Luann for Piro’s attention is rather strange. On the one hand, Luann’s goal/plan/mission may be to befriend Piro to see if he could be a potential boyfriend. But, for Tara, the goal/plan is less clear. It is likely she is either trying to be protective of Piro…. or potentially protective of Luann…. but honestly, “mother hen” protection does NOT seem a realistic Tara trait (even given the speeding getaway vehicle that grazed Tara incident).

So, I am not really sure what is afoot here. I will have to wait and see what sort of magic Greg and Karen weave for us, I guess. But, as of now, I feel rather flummoxed.

In my own preference, I think I would prefer a person who can help me laugh. Adrenaline rushes can be enjoyable…. but at least for me, they are best ONLY very occasionally. Laughter and the joy of laughter can and should be a daily occurrence. When I can laugh and can enjoy the fun of a humorous experience, the whole day seems brighter and more rich.

Good grief, does everything have to be a competition?

Nothing makes you feel more alive than a near death experience!

Free climbing (as the term is used) is for experienced climbers which I don’t think Tara and Piro are (and some meet their grave anyway). I would think skydiving (for the 1st timer) would be safer. But for sure, whatever is on your mind would not be there if you are climbing without safety gear.

Each are trying to do one ups-manship.

I honestly don’t know why Tara has a problem with Luann cheering up her cousin. It’s not like Luann will do him any harm. Anyway, her essay is fictional, yet dull.

Wonder how or whether Piro will phyisically appear in this week’s story arc This ties togther at least two story arcs, Lu’s nascent interest in fiction writing, and her attraction to Piro. The interesting angle is what Tara’s apparent competition for his favor really fits into this storyline. Perhaps we will find out more this week.

PIRO, rock climbing, Tara he does not seem like the type.

Luann is finally standing up for herself by telling it like it is.

Friends like Tara can be a lot of fun, but they are horrible influences and tend to get you in trouble. I hope Luann remembers how Tara caused her to lose her job.

Did you two ever stop to consider that Piro was being “polite” to BOTH of you?

Why does it seem like they’re competing for Piro

Seems like a setup to me for them both to end up spinning their wheels. :-/

Why are they competing? Piro would be likely to be interested in Luann than Tara considering she’s his cousin? And why is Tara talking about her cousin as if he’s a romantic interest considering he’s her cousin? This is weird.

For a cousin, Tara behaves more like a jealous girlfriend to Piro. Creepy.
