How about the time you dropped a $100 gift card to Arnold’s eclectic (and excellent) restaurant in downtown Cincinnati between the drivers seat and console of your Mercedes and it somehow slid under the seat darned near impossible (so far) to get out? Told to The Count by a very close Friend and maybe it didn’t really happen to you.
Baby Blues is one of those comics like Sally Forth where I am clearly not the intended reader, because I find both comics to be kind of boring and repetitive.
Now this is what I love about Pearls Before Swine – when Stephan Pastis plays with the medium of the comic strip itself. This is so much better than when he uses his characters to gripe about smartphones, social media, and the virtue of supporting “journalism”.

Who else thinks flat pig looks kinda cute.

You know what’s freaky? Baby Blues is actually right next to Pearls Before Swine for me on GoComics.

I’ve missed this kind of humor.

I’ll probably skip Pig’s suggestion.
hariseldon59 28 days ago
I seem to remember years ago that Pearls did a Baby Blues crossover when they had Rat babysitting the children.

Maybe Goat could use one horn to hook the keyring.

Stuck between panels, Pig is now ham sandwiched.

At least he knows where his keys are.

Sorry, “Non Sequitur” is next for me.
cdward 28 days ago
Now you’re going to have to break the fourth wall to get him back into the fourth panel.

My next comic is Cul de Sac, but Baby Blues is there too.
iggyman 28 days ago
I’ll bet rides a Harley-Davidson “Hog”!
iggyman 28 days ago
Pastis had to squeeze Pig in there somehow!
Znox11 28 days ago
So, no strip today? I hope they get Pig out before the Sunday strip.
Doug K 28 days ago
Have you ever felt like you were stuck between two panels?
Huckleberry Hiroshima 28 days ago
But we did Baby Blues first. We’ll move on to Calvin and Hobbes.

Weird. I had just read the Baby Blues strip…

Pig should have gone around the other way to reach the keys from the bottom.

Really relatable, pig…

Shows what he knows. Speed Bum is the strip I go to next. Baby Blues is two after Pearls Before Swine!
TekoaMT 28 days ago
This may be the best strip you have done. And no puns…or states…
rossevrymn 28 days ago
cute
ManiacEx 28 days ago
Does it count as breaking the 4th wall if Pig is stuck in it instead?
Cartoondog 28 days ago
This strip was brilliant honestly.

Dang…I already read Baby Blues this morning. Gotta move on to Frog Applause, I guess.

Already did that. Back to school shopping time for Wanda and the kids.
On to “Pickles”!DaBump Premium Member 27 days ago
Whole new twist on breaking the fourth wall, eh? For me, it’s “Non Sequitur” next. “Baby Blues” was good today.
liberalnlovinit 27 days ago
So is breaking the fourth panel the equivalent of breaking the fourth wall?
Thehag 27 days ago
Good squish! I put my comics alphabetical so on to Pickles.

Goat is the key witness.
zeexenon 27 days ago
Maybe Pete in Stephen King’s Dreamcatcher can help.
farnhazenbrep 27 days ago
Yay! The Fourth Wall is broken again! Walt Kelly’s Pogo characters often admitted they were in a comic strip.
Otis Rufus Driftwood 27 days ago
Pastis hasn’t done one of these in a while.

I found the key to this whole border conspiracy thing
It’s requires a four panel discussion to properly address the issue
gretchenhspfld 27 days ago
I am still laughing! A classic use of the art form, and poor pig is the perfect foil.
MarshaOstroff 27 days ago
Overboard comes next for me, but I will see Baby Blues later in the day.

Baby Blues was a while ago; Pickles is up next. (Alphabetical order.)
