Am I the only one who wants to hear Father Ó Kittery break out into song? Perhaps a few verses of Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral? Then, after the girls leave, Snowbelle comes out and tells him how lovely that was.

And what does every good orphanage need? Lots of books! And, of course, a picture of Cat and . . . whatever that is in panel three. (Art supplies, maybe?)

Meanwhile, here in the Grumbling Room, where it is STILL not safe to emerge, we are busy setting up for our daily feast, followed by the belt loosening ceremony and, perhaps, a quick visit to the Sewing Room, to expand the waistlines of our various clothing articles. Between the various holidays and watching . . . er, hiding from, I mean . . . soap operas, the pounds/kilos can really accumulate. Now, of course, is not the best time to hit the gym as it is packed with (normally short-lived) resolutions. So, since the gym is out (and the soap opera is still on), I suppose we have nothing better to do than sit around and eat some more (and grumble, of course). What is on the menu today?

I love the portrait of Good Boy in the second panel. Georgia did a Sunday or free-form strip long ago, which shows the succession of cat rulers. Anyone have a clue where to find it?

Will Princess ever study her face in the mirror long enough to notice her resemblance to Fr. O’Kittery?

I’m sure the Orb will know the answer to this. Does Father O’Kittery ever open his eyes? I’ve looked back through the current arc and I can’t see them. Thanks!

Are we going to have a reunion?

In the past, the appearance of Sister Snowbelle has indicated an end to the story arc. Is the same true of today’s strip? Or will tomorrow bring a shocking cliff hanging ending as she reveals herself to Angora and Princess?!

gasp!!! In the background…enters a new plot twist!

I just want to snuggle that kitten with the pacifier.

Snowbelle! So sweet to see her looking on her girls with such pride, yet it must be difficult to know she can’t speak to them.

Gasp! Don’t tell me her mother is actually alive and has become a nun!?

I know you would love to, and Princess and Angora would be overjoyed to see you, but resist the temptation and don’t blow your cover, Snowbelle.

In the fifth panel, Father O’Kittery and all of the orphans break out into a rendition of ‘Would You Like To Sing On A Star’. (Just a hint, the little gray tabby is the one who raises and lowers his eyebrows to the beat of the music)

Is the cat coming into the room a Nun? Or, a Bene Gesserit witch?

Snowbelle (if she has a new name I’ve forgotten it) looks so pleased and proud in that last panel. Blurry screen.

I wonder how many other elderly BCN fans have caught that the latest BCN storyline is an homage to Bing Crosby movies made in the 194’s? They are "Going My Way (1944) and "The Bells of St. Mary’s (1946). I was a child and don’t remember much about the actual movies, but Crosby played a priest in both of them, and the plots included Orphans, I believe.

Whew! I finally got that posted! Anybody else been having more than the usual trouble with GoComics being unstable? It could be the portable computer I am using right now, which has been going to a new tab page instead of the link I just clicked and other “interesting” Phenomena. But GoComics is Always particularly squirraly, in my experience.

Princess certainly looks like a chip off the old block!

I’d say this was a happy ending … but is it the ending?

Sis: With their mother right over there. Will they notice her or not? If they do will they realize it is their mother or not?

OT: It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter. Right now there’s a dusting of snow on the ground. My weather radio just alarmed for a winter storm watch from Sunday morning through Monday night for the possibility of 5-9 inches of snow. Anybody else in the path of this major winter storm?

That “mother” comment is definitely a surprise reappearance!

Could there be a reunion tomorrow? Not that me care or paying attention that is.

i was kind of hoping for the news cats responses to the pawmark movie tomorrow. and then back to normal on Monday.

Sis: So is Angora still going to live in the mansion and help or move into another house?

Is that a new character hiding behind the door … or an old character in a new guise? Some long-lost somebody thought to have died of amnesia, perhaps?
